No, it wasn't 12-0 but it was very much a comfortable win for Floyd in what was an excellent performance. He was really on song that night. And I would say Canelo is definitely better now than he was then. He still wouldn't have beaten that Floyd I don't think as Canelo just doesn't have the style but that's fine, Floyd is Floyd.

It's a lot more believable but being believable is not factual.

I actually posted incorrect, I initially had it 117-111 on rewatching it I had it again 117-111/116-112 at a push. I also had Mayweather winning 9-3 not 10-2.

Golovkin beat imo a better version of Canelo and was dominant but styles sometimes make certain fights look more or less competitive.

A faded PBF fought Canelo at 36 and in his 5th weight class and dominated him. Like I said earlier PBF's win over Canelo > GGG's draw.

Also you know deep down Golovkin fought the better Canelo AND deserved to win.

 

GGG fought Canelo in his prime weight class was the bigger man and was supposed to knock him out. PBF didn't fight Canelo in his prime weight class but rather his 5th, he was the smaller man older than GGG to. I scored GGG-Canelo a draw, he didn't deserve to win anything.

 

No he drained Canelo to 152.

Canelo has struggled to make 154 for years....you know this.

He's the same age when he fought a lesser version of Canelo that Golovkin was fighting imo a better version of Canelo.

However I really don't get your hostility, I've admitted Floyd beat Canelo, I believe GGG beat Canelo....yet here you are still beating a bust drum.

Alexander schooled Maidana yet Floyd arguably drew or lost their first fight.....do we go down this avenue for every Floyd fight now?

 

Alexander was prime and PBF was past his prime and even older against Maidana than when he was when he fought Canelo. He also was cut early on in the first fight which really bothered him. With that said he still won.
Canelo was not drained at 152 he weighed 153 for Trout in his previous fight. 152 is an excuse, PBF is a bad stylistic match up for Canelo like he is for damn near everyone and would beat any version of him. What's not an excuse is that PBF was past his prime and already moved up from 130-154 in his career. He was facing a bigger man past his prime so 152 was more than fair. Lastly there's no hostility here just good spirited debate if you took it like that then I apologize.

 

TBH Pimp when you brought up the race card the other day I'll be honest you went down in my estimation I thought you was better than that.

However, I've always said that whilst you are a Floyd cuck you are (besides Floyd) one of the better posters and a good guy.

Canelo is DEFINITELY bigger than GGG.

Golovkin is just taller and has campaigned at middleweight longer. There is a reason Canelo refuses to jump on any fight night scales ever. Look at GGG during non-training. You can't even tell that the dude is an athlete, nevermind a boxer.

 

Shane Mosely says Golovkin is bigger. Everybody knows Golovkin is naturally the bigger man.

Canelo is back looking like a 154 pounder again after taking off the execs bulk he packed on artificially for the first fight.
