Regardless, Jr accepted to fight four pounds below his weight class and that's his choice, just like Canelo chose to fight Floyd 2 pounds below his weight class.

Boxing isn't exclusively about stopping your opponent. Its about teh sweet science and sweet science only. KOs are nice but not required.

I got it from the great Drenlou. One of my favorite members even if we don't see eye to eye in everything but the man uses logic and common sense.

 

Golovkin didn't beat Canelo , however an old and much smaller Mayweather did , arguably by a 12 - zero shut out.

Whether or not you're right at the time the hype WITHIN boxing was real. The guys who should of been his opponents rated him as highly as his biggest fans which is why other than Pirog they pretty much all baulked at the prospect of taking him on.

You can say Golovkin wasn't as good as advertised but then you have to say the whole middleweight division were weak minded cowards who refused to take the work and try to expose the man as a hype job. I don't use the term coward lightly but the 160 division essentially ran. It was embarrassing for boxing.
