He also was seen as the winner against N'Jikam by a sizable portion of the audience, and besides that, is an actual middleweight, which would remove one of the chief complaints about Golovkin's last and next opponents.

I have no problem with this fight. Jr. said he didn't fear GGG, but that he also wanted his Maravilla rematch. Maybe he can fight GGG in December or early next year, once the rematch has already happened.

A sizable portion of 7 is 4, which I acknowledged. Ossie Duran is not a middle either, and Khurtsidze really is a midget, worse than Rees. Rosado may never return to SWW, and could have got a CW if he wanted,

Did you know none of Ishida's 3 well known fights were at 154? Pirog 160, PWill at 155, Kirkland at 158 (?)

Did you know Ishida was lucky to win a round in 2 of those (including the one at the full middleweight limit) and fought another guy whose best work was at 154 in the third? I fail to see why Khurtsidze's actual success in the division, including against one of those beltholders who relentlessly ducked Golovkin, is somehow less impressive than Ishida getting shut out.

Man you're getting worked up over a stay busy fight, not even on cable TV. I take it you're not buying the PPV, saving that for when he fights Khurtsidze?

Why do people act like Quillin-Golovkin could happy I don't think he would fight Golden Boy fighters, this is like saying why won't Garcia fight Marquez it can't happen even if one isn't technically TR.

Not worked up at all, merely offering an opponent actually in his division superior to his last stay-busy fight and his upcoming one(s).

I'm not sure he's superior. Ishida has a better win (at middle!), a better name, went the distance with Pirog and PWill. This guy apparently had a close call with Ossie Duran at home, and a close fight vs a guy that ducked GGG several times.

Of course HBO is not approving him for june. So which contender you believe might step up for that date?

Like, GGG is not with Top Rank at all. Are you saying GBP won't work with any other promoter? I wouldn't be shocked, they have a ton of fighters and only so many SHO dates.

    Massive over hype.

He's hyped almost as much as Bute was but Bute had accomplished far, far more.

These guys aren't the best but as long as he's stopping them and putting on good fights I can't complain. He should fight Martinez soon though.

He should be fighting Sergio Martinez.

    I don't know.

But until he actually fights a top 10 guy, he shouldn't be treated as some kind of elite fighter when there are plenty of guys who have beaten top 10 opponents in their division who get a fraction of the respect, hype, and coverage.

Guys like Daniel Geale, Kazuto Ioka, and Austin Trout are >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Golovkin.

Well Trout had nothing until Cotto gave him a chance. So what GGG needs is a guy like that to give him a chance (though Trout was not quite as feared). It's looking increasingly unlikely that Geale is that guy.

Who do you think it'll be? These guys are passing up multiple title shots on HBO, what do they got going on otherwise?
