I very much hope you are correct and it was an anomaly since I was hoping his new team would base more emphasis on movement and slipping, whilst making sure he fights in bursts. Not this 'take a shot to land a shot' game plan which was displayed last night.

It was a satisfying ko no doubt. Rolls however stood still throughout, as if he was a Mannequin,

Canelo is a totally different animal today, much sharper on his feet and actually moves his head now. I don't think GGG is capable of knocking out Canelo no matter how much were to wish for it.

I agree with CST. Looks like GGG tried some new stuff out early, didn't really work, and then went back to his old ways. He looked OK to be honest, neither great nor awful. He'll have to raise his game from this for Canelo though.

Can Joshua have that excuse too cos he was out the same amount of time when he fought highly ranked Ruiz? :naughty2:

Remind me of the day, Joshua turned 37 years old?

You can suffer inactivity and can have ring rust at any age.

GGG still got the job done regardless.

So what's your excuse for the younger fresher Joshua?

Im not saying anything about Golovkin , just wondering if Joshua can have the same ring rusty excuse .. Maybe they both had ring rust?
Its not an excuse thats been made for AJ but rust is rust at the end of the day.

    Pure waffle.

Were you so keen to talk about ring rust when Wlad lost to AJ after he was inactive for over 18 months?

No. Instead you were acting as if Joshua beat a prime Wlad

But i never said he was prime. I argued he wasn't shot. There's a difference :eyebrow2:

I just wanted to know if ring rust applied to Joshua and i think i got my answer:lupie:

Ring rust effects an older boxer, a lot more than it does a younger boxer. A younger boxer being inactive doesn't cause as much ring rust, as much as it allows them to recover and rest up.

Look how poor BJS looked when he fought Arthur Akavov after being inactive for a year. BJS was 26 at the time.

Bjs was seriously not even caring about this fight, even with about 4 weeks to go he was usually late and half assing in general
