He definitely looked aged and slower. I think the robbery against Canelo mentally took its toll on him. I think he should complete the trilogy and then call it a day.

Rolls came to fight. Many past GGG opponents haven't came to fight. Golovkin hit Rolls with some good body shots, he just kept coming though. It taken some good shots to get Rolls out of there. He did well. I would reserve judgement on Golovkin being old based on that performance, we don't know how good Rolls is, I suspect this win will turn out to be an underrated win by Golovkin down the track.

His skills are still there it's just the speed as gone, this will always be a problem when facing world class defensive fighters.

He is still "Mexican style" ....the same style he criticised Abel Sanchez for last week.

I don’t think he looked THAT bad. Lol.

It’s a boxing match, guys are going to get punched in the face. Rolls was in shape and ready to go, you can’t always blow guys away unless you’re Mike Tyson.

Last time I checked GGG always gets hit. He’s no defensive wizard.

He looked pretty much the same as always to me. He’s always been pretty easy to hit.

He sure did. He was looking for his own ko and was connecting well. He just didnt know Golovkin can take a serious punch. Hope to see Rolls again. Looks like a guy who puts it all out there.

For what was called a pointless fight that didn't mean anything, people sure are eager to overreact on it.

He may be able to take the punches fine, but that willingness to just absorb what comes his way is a bad habit.

If he wants an official decision over Canelo he must move his head.

The issue may be his reflexes. Everybody seems to forget how important reflexes are to a fighter. So slipping punches will become more difficult to do. He may be able to go a hard 12, hit as hard, move and punch as fast but, his reaction time will slow. The great SRR said he knew he was getting old when he would see the openings and by the time he threw the punch it was closed. G has been getting hit more the last few fights. Perhaps it's the jump in opposition. G still a beast! Still cracking skulls at 37 but, looks nowhere near as impressive as a 30yo G.

Voice of reason here lol. You're quite right and in any case Golovkin has always been hit as his very style has always been offensive minded and more importantly for him trading shots on his terms.
Canelo is cuter than though and will trade on his own terms, very successfully I might add.
Your point about Canelo is spot on,he got swamped in the first fight with GGG and lucky to get a draw and went life and death in razor close fight with this"over the hill, ancient Golovkin).
Some folk say this about Golovkin to discredit Canelos fights against him, when in truth those two provided us with two great fights.
I was surprised how Canelo lost so many rounds to Jacob's in the second half,on the radio they had him losing five straight rounds.
No doubt I'll pick Canelo by knockout again and it'll go twelve rounds again lol.

He's not gonna change now though is he?I did notice he didn't jab as much as usual and I! sure he was picking out the body more on purpose and I'm not sure if it's me or the opponent but he seemed to be punching through the target more(something Able taught him)and he did some of those looping head shots.

Thats why theres FORUM posters that easily like to post garbage just cause and then theres fighters who make a living fighting.

GGG barely got hit by power shots anyway, again that's twhy guys like the TS are whiney ignorant dolts with nothing better to do then expose how dumb they really are and take pride in it . lol

These guys have no clue what stepping in the ring means so you get thread starters like this one of a special kind of stupid once in awhile and theres ALWAYS that guy on forums and hes the one, lol

That's it. He's got the variety and the strategic nous to switch it up when he needs to. He's simply slower than he was. Fractions of a second count in this game.
