trying to fight the Canelo v. GGG winner. He ensures himself at least a 4-5 million dollar pay day. He wouldn't get that v. Ward. Others made the same financial decision. An example would be Shane fought Oscar the first time for 5 million instead of Floyd for 2 million. It is a business and you fight for the prize. Say GGG ducked Ward if you like but be honest with yourself. Would you take a risky fight for 3 million or a less risky fight for 5 million?
I'd rather fight a guy my size in front of a sold out Vegas crowd for $5 mil rather than fight someone who is 20 lbs heavier in a community center Oakland who'd have the refs permition to smother me like a gay gorilla
It remains to be seen. Although I do like Canelo, I'm pretty sure he's going to drop the belt within 2 weeks, so there won't be a payday of any kind. He can however beat Lee after and become the unduckable undisputed champ wich would setup the Canelo fight anyway, because the latter won't be able to make 154+1 for long.
What does this even have to do with Floyd? You rather see GGG pick on JMW than fight someone who would beat him, that's what you really wanted to say.
Canelo is a risky fight for GGG. He will have to fight at 155, and he will need to knock the ginger out cold. There is next to no chance GGG wins on points - even if he boxes Canelo's ears off. He would probably have a better chance of knocking out a ring rusted Andre Ward.
Please stop talking about Ward. He said he needs tune up fights and he just canceled his next fight that was supposed to be two days ago. This guy would never fight GGG and it would beca waste of time like for Fury waiting for Haye.
