Situation probably complicated by Saunders having recently brought Macklin in as part of management team via his MGM company/gym in Spain. Right now there are a lot of cooks in BJS kitchen and I'm sure they all have different perspectives and agendas. Instead of any premeditated shenanigans , with regard to BJS communication I'd be more inclined to chalk it up to internal confusion. FW has never been a great promoter, and he is probably at the mercy of BJS management team. If he was saying it was a big offer, he probably wants to take it. After all, its $$ for him and a big "in" with HBO which would drastically improve his standing and leverage with other members of stable. But for anything to happen, BJS legacy management and new MGM "advisors" will need to get on the same page.
Hhmmm... if it's HBO Money, 4 or 5 or even $ 6 million dollars is... Chump Change to HBO. Even if the fight only draws ~ 100,000 PPV... it's still ~ 50 million in TV money alone. A BIG PAY DAY for BJS, maybe the most money he will ever see for one bout.
Nobody wants to face GGG. Must be being too much a proud Brit but i thought BJS may take this one. But then it is K2 were talking about, everybody on about the money but nothing about the page after page of crazy demands they usually like to throw into contracts. As a Boxing fan I feel GGG is wasting his time in this division, he should give up on trying to unify belts and move up a weight. Everybody knows nobody beats him at Middle and its that much of a fact nobody wants to even try their luck against him. Offer Andy Lee a fight and focus on the Alverez problem. GBP must surely now have no place to run after being granted that last voluntary bout. Then end your career at 168.
Why can't Golovkin's camp just remain silent until negotiations are off? This isn't applying pressure, this is being annoying (if I'm the counterpart).
