Found it interesting that on the Pugilist Korner: a) Abel Sanchez was on, said they had an opponent 99% sure, should be press release this week b) Sergio Mora was on right after Abel, and spent most of the time talking about a GGG matchup ( though he did talk as though he didnt know next opponent, but was hopeful DiBella would pull through with something big. And also said he hoped for a Feb date with GGG) c) Mora talked with HBO about getting another shot, and delivered the goods on his Saturday performance Am I just reading too much into the tea leaves, or is this the Feb 1 fight? If so, it should be interesting. Any opinions on how the fight might go down?
GGG needs to fight a defensive specialist at MW. Someone who'll make him reach to him, and Mora has a very solid beard. Might go 6 rds.:think
Mora also said he would like a fight against the other title holders and contenders: Barker, Geale, Sturm etc So not sure it'll be GGG.
No. WE just want to watch GGG fight, because he actually fights and is fun to watch fight. We also understand situation. This is box. YOU just want to see GGG lose ASAP so your love interest/father figure Andre Ward has an excuse to avoid getting Good Boy'd S.O.G.= Son Of Golovkin in the future.
Which comp are we talking here? Amateur or pro? Ward did everything he could to talk his way out of a fight with Bute when GGG smashed that chin with the big gloves n headgear on. Why didn't Ward fight Dirrell again? Why don't Ward's team send team GGG an offer to fight? I guess they don't want to risk GGG actually accepting that offer and Ward gets himself in some **** he can't talk his way out of.
Let's start a fund. contribute a little at a time. then spend it, at the appropriate time on beer, lots of it. Ms. Pibb is going to need lots of it,,,,to cry into.
Mora is very awkward and Cagey. He will make GGG look less than spectacular as he does with most fighters, but his lack of power will eventually encourage GGG to take some chances and open up more than normal. I think Golovkin gets to him through persistent bodywork.
GGG was asked directly by Kellerman to give names of opponents he'd like to face. He said Martinez and Quillin. He didn't say Ward. I personally don't think GGG fighting Ward is a good idea for him. GGG needs guys that will try and trade with him, that are slow and plodding or who will just cover up and let him tee off. Ward will hit GGG and often and will make GGG miss often. Bad stylistic matchup for Golovkin.
Ok, let me just crunch the numbers here. I went ahead and filed "Andre Ward" under "Everyone between 154-168lbs" and according to my calculations, Ward has been called out. Andre Ward's status: [ ] Not called out [x] Called out There ya go, bruh.:rofl
in dont like carl froch but i give all the credit in the world that he wants to fight the best....he have cojones!! make froch vs ggg happen.....ward doenst want to fight ggg
Not many fighters are eager to fight 3G. If Mora wants this fight then props to him. Mora beat Ishe Smith, Brinkley, Manfredo Jr and Proksa, so judging by his wins he's a better fighter than Curtins Stevens. This guy wasn't stopped or K.O'd in his pro career. He only lost by decision (Vernon Forrest II and Brian Vera I & II). Also he had 2 draws against Elvin Ayala and Shane Mosley. It would be interesting to see how this fight goes i.e 3G vs Mora.
