GGG moving to SMW will end like Abraham

Golovkin is a better boxer than Abraham.....

 

Based on what?. Abraham's resume at Middleweight is better and more proven than GGG.

 

Murray had a 3 inch reach advantage on him and he negated that fine. Obviously Murray isn't much of a hitter, but still.

For the record, I do think he's too physically small to be a SMW but IF it does happen it'll be interesting to see for sure

Eh not really, Edison Miranda and Kingsley Ikeke were his two best wins at the weight. He didn't exactly go through a murderer's row either. I feel Golovkin is quite overrated but he has shown far more depth than Abraham ever showed, aside from the power of both and chins, Golovkin cuts the ring off better, has a better punch output and better variety of punches. He has also shown to be able to box on the outside.

GGG was always a world class fighter since his teens, he was an amateur legend. Abraham, wasn't. About GGG moving up, I have always maintained the idea that there is no one he cannot beat in SMW, with the exception of (perhaps) Ward, who really belongs in LHW. Problem is SMW is as dead as MW since Froch and Ward has gone inactive. Going after a fight with Canelo or Cotto makes more sense for GGG unless a fight with Froch can be arranged.

 

I'm not really sure we know exactly how GGG really is seeing how his opponents were all literally designed to meet his requirements and fall face front on the canvas. I mean seriously, you can't expect him to go in and actually prove something when he's going in as a 100/1 favorite.

Abraham beat a prime Miranda with a broken jaw he suffered in round 4. He was literally forced to box and back off, something he's not good at and did so successfully against an undefeated prime Miranda who has serious one punch power and is known to being dirty. In that fight all alone, he proved what he's all about better than GGG has done his entire career. His win over Ikeke, while very underrated today, was not a joke back then to those that remember Ikeke and still isn't a joke either. Ikeke was a P4P fighter and Abraham remains the only one to brutally stop him as he did. Jentuah and Eastman are other two decent wins worth mentioning.

 

I agree, Ikeke at the time was being seen as a possibility for JT and Abraham flattened him. Jantuah was a decent win however he was a JMW. All in all my eyes have seen a higher ceiling for Golovkin at SMW than Abraham. I still think Golovkin would be up against it against the top SMW's however.

 

it could be but there nothing alike as fighters. stylistically there alot different. only simliarites is punching power which is the only thing abe has.

ggg can do it all . jst not super fast. but all the other details about the sport he concentrates on and has alot of elements to his fight game.

abe didnt do so well at super middle because that is when he stepped up the excuse is that he should of always fought at 160 but he never really stepped up at 160 either who did he fight besides miranda .. which he ktfo but the first fight was a different story.

abe just sits around n covers up untill u get overconfident and start stickin around too long or u just get tired n then he decides to throw.

if ggg steps up n fails u best bet ggg will go out swinging or losing close decision

 

good points. i really like dont like fighters moving up when they dont have to . and we dont really know reasons why is wants to move up. maybe he wants to please the fans . nowone will fight him at 160 so hes moving up . how much truth to nowone wanting to fight him is true. it seems pretty true. i dont see quillin or cotto talkin bout him or jacobs. canelo pretty much said he will fight him down the road which i can respect.
