Considering that Golovkin fights in Europe at the beginning of every year, Murray is the best opponent for that. He already fought once in Monte Carlo, Spada will be his second fight there and Golovkin third. He also had 2 very close fights with renowned champs Sturm and Martinez, which many thought that he deserved to win, so he's definitely a credible opponent.

As for the May fight, the best opponent would probably be either Quillin or Korobov/Lee winner. Quillin has been avoiding Golovkin for quite some time (he seems to be avoiding every tough opponent actually), he is still undefeated and it would be good if he finally decided to step up.

The winner of Korobov/Lee (probably Korobov) will be the new WBO champion so it would definitely make sense to have an unification. Matt Korobov is a 2-time world amateur champion, European champion and has won 2 Russian championships (his overall amateur record is 300-12). He would be definitely the best opponent Golovkin has faced in the pros so far.

Danny Jacobs would also be an acceptable opponent, at least he has that WBA regular belt. I've only watched his fight against Pirog, and judging by that, he wouldn't stand much of a chance. However, he's still a top 10 guy and would be the most suitable opponent after Korobov and Quillin.

Jermain Taylor would never be considered seriously if he hadn't won the IBF belt (well, same goes to Soliman before him). It would be an okay fight only for a fact that it would be an unification, but other than that, Taylor is a joke opponent for Golovkin and doesn't stand a chance.

As for Lemieux, I haven't watched any of his fights to be honest. He was stopped by Rubio a couple of years ago but now seems to be getting his way back to the contention. If he continues to win and beats a couple of notable names, he could be a good opponent.

As for the other opponents, Hassan N’Dam would be a legit choice in my opinion. And of course, there's always a possibility of some reputed name moving up or down.
