GGG: My advice to Andre Ward is to stop mentioning my name.

Ward could easily come back Sept>Dec once and make more than GGG does in 3 fights.

He said that he's still fighting in court with Goossen but asked Goossen to take some fights.

I think everyone knows Froch is a bigger draw than Ward.

But Ward is the far greater/better fighter.

 

He's a bigger draw. More people tune in to watch his fights and he sells more tickets.

Wards inflated pay cheque doesn't make him a draw.

 

I'm not the one making the fight so why are you talking to me like it's up to me to make it? And as of the viewing numbers from last year, Golovkin had more viewers so he is a bigger draw at this point. We'll see what his numbers look like Saturday to see if they keep climbing, to which point you can't say Ward is a bigger draw considering he hasn't fought in 8 months. Both aren't PPV fighters but GGG is unlucky that Chavez fight fell through. That's more than Ward can say, who also wanted a piece of Chavez too for the exact same reason. You can put all the faces you want, doesn't mean you've accomplished anything with what you've said.

Ward is waiting around for someone else to become a PPV fighter so he can ride their coattails.
Chavez Jr was a "good young fighter" when Ward wanted that fight. JCCjr became a "weak link at 168" all of a sudden when there was talks of Froch getting that fight.

I would never beat up someone with a disability, but, I'd make an exception for him.

 

Yeah... actually not that much bigger (EDIT - in $ terms to qualify), and since Ward ain't fighting at all, what's Golovkin supposed to do - Sit on his hands and wait till 'Dre gets through with his promotional battles?

Right now Ward isn't even an option, whereas down the line (if Ward decides to resume his career and Golovkin continues to win) GGG vs Ward could be PPV material.

I don't think Gennady gives much of a damn who he fights but if you're Loeffler would you think hanging around waiting for Ward to decide if he's retired or not as being a sensible option?
