    ...what if Vera beats Chavez?

...then do we get Golovkin vs. Vera?

...or does Golovkin then have to wait for Vera vs. Chavez III? :think

"What if" negated by Arum's judges. Doesn't matter if Vera beats Chavez again, Junior is getting the decision and they'll treat it like a win. He can't perform worse than he did the first time around.

    Not sure if serious. :blood

I was referring to money / Chavez payday. I don't think GGG beats Ward.

The question then becomes, would Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. become Golovkin's best win?

And the answer is a resounding no.

Not a "super fight." Not even a "good fight." Just one that has potential for some entertainment, like every other fight.

GGG still has lots available to him at 160. Sergio, Felix, Peter etc.

IOf he were to go to 168, there's Froch (or more likey, soon, Groves) for him to face.

Neither Vera nor Junior would pose much competition, nor bring great accolades.

On paper they would be 1-1, and with Chavez being the moneymaker you know damn well there would be a rubber match.

The question after the Mayweather-Maidana fight would become, would Marcos Maidana become Mayweather's best win?

And the answer is a resounding no.

Not a "super fight." Not even a "good fight." Not even one that has potential for some entertainment, like every other fighter who Mayweather could face that has no chance whatsoever of winning a round.

    :deal

Chavez Jr is about to be demoted back to "weak link at 168lbs".
