Does that include high school and college sports records? And does it include state/national/county/school records? He did say ANY record, after all.

Sergio Martinez was better than him at 37.

Well let's start with Wilt Chamberlain from basketball. He still holds the records for most points in a game, most rebounds in a game, most points in a season, highest average points per game in a season, and a slew of other records.

Then there's Joe DiMaggio's 56 game hitting streak, a record that was established in 1941 that stands til this day, while hardly having been threatened since.

Sticking with baseball, Cy Young has over 500 career wins, and that record predates the 40s. And baseball has many such instances.

Let's take a gander at boxing now? Joe Louis had 25 title defenses, a record that stands to this day, despite the fact he fought in an age when there was one championship, and not a slew of meaningless alphabet trinkets that exist today.

    Good for starters?

    I'll add.

Hack Wilson set the all-time single season RBI record in 1930, which he still holds.

    C'mon.

Chavez was clearly on his way down at 33; he had already lost to Whitakker (unofficially) and Randall (twice really).

Lewis had lost in his prime to Mc Call by KO

Holyfield had lost twice to Bowe and once to Moorer, and had close calls with Cooper and Stewart

    Hoya ....

PBF probably never KO'd anyone, as far as i know...:hey

That's one I've long said will never be broken. And then the last baseball player who batted .400 was Ted Williams, from the 40s. And that's not even a record.

And then there are quite literally dozens of examples of this type of thing from baseball alone.

Stopped reading here. Baseball is a sport, and nothing you say can change that.

And hand-eye coordination IS a component of athletic ability, you idiot.

Who has Golovkin fought on the level of even a McCall? If the above fighters had fought the same level of competition that Golovkin had, I assure you they would have been undefeated.

Doesn't this in itself pretty much invalidate your entire faulty hypothesis?

Baseball is defined as a sport, no matter what you say.
