It carries weight, to people who actually matter.. The fans don't call shots, nor do their opinions really matter. The lineal title isn't new, it's been a title to state who the champ of the division is for years. Only now people have a problem because it's GGG'S rival Canelo who has the lineal title and who calls the shots. If the shoe was on the other foot, you guys would be barking the other way. Lol

No way Alvarez had the same amount of popularity as Floyd. As many have said, it's too early to accept an offer for a fight a year away. Too much can change from today until the possible fight. No one in their right mind accepts offers a year away. I cannot recall a single instance of that happening. And for good reason, it's stupid!
