And Froch beat a hasty retreat despite saying that he was "too big, too powerful" for Golovkin :-(

Let's face it, I actually doubt whether Ward could even make 168 anymore. Reaching two divisions up to find somebody to beat GGG shows you how good he is.

Absolutely, but don't try to convince Haterz, inc. They have absolutely no intention being reasonable in any way. They'd rather claim GGG is ducking Lara, ffs, than give him any credit for running through the middleweight division.

150K PPV buys means that Bumlovkin is *NOT* a PPV draw, Genius. We won't be seeing the Triple Duck on PPV again anytime soon. Meanwhile, Ward is cashing bigger paychecks...

Yeah but the problem here is that Lemieux is NOT an "elite" fighter. Please take your head out of your ass...

Lemieux wasn't willing to fight when they were chasing Froch.

GiGi fans have more excuses than a cat with liver pills.

Eight years and still no top opponent or big fight. At 34 years old it won't be long until that Russian Goat farm is calling him back.

Bumlovkin is well schooled in most of the fundamentals and he has very good power @ 160. He gets hit way too much and there is a question outstanding regarding his ability to fight going backwards. His team has shamelessly ducked Andre Ward and I can't say that I blame them. Ward is no David Lemieux. Ward can box and he can FIGHT. Fact is, Ward has every advantage over Bumlovkin except for *maybe* punching power. Ward can pick Bumlovkin apart from the outside with ease or beat him up on the inside. Ward is the complete package and Bumlovkin was smart to avoid that fight. There's just nobody on Bumlovkin's resume even remotely close to Ward's level.

I'm sorry but NO. Guys who are defensively sound don't turn around in the middle of a fight and just forget all of the defensive principles they worked on in the gym. Maybe you'd have a point if Bumlovkin didn't get caught as often as he does. There's a difference between a freak occurrence and a TREND. Bumlovkin's defensive lapses are closer to a trend than they are to a freak occurrence. Just look at some of the things he does such as pulling straight back with his hands down - which is a BIG no-no in boxing. He does that ALL the time.

Styles make fights. Yes, you are correct, Lemieux is NO offensive genius. The fact is, Lemieux lacked the style and offensive capabilities to take advantage of Bumlovkin's defensive liabilities. Ward, OTOH, has every tool in the box and would be on Bumlovkin like white on rice...

There are no big NO-NO's for fighters of Golovkin's level. He is in the league of his own and defines his own rules. Pulling straight back with his hands down ? I am anxious to see somebody trying to punish him for that and getting countered.

    Bumlovkin's level?

    LOL.

Bumlovkin is a very good prospect. Nothing more. He'd be smart to tighten up his defense before someone capitalizes on his defensive lapses and derails the HYPE train...

34 years old and still not one top level opponent on his resume.

Will GiGi wait until he is 40 and Hopkins is 57 years old before he will answer BHOP's challenge, ala Joe Calzaghe?
Without facing top opposition, who can really say if GiGi is advancing, or on the decline? As long as he is facing bums and 2nd tier opponents his level of skill is one big question mark.

I predict that GiGi may succeed in snatching the belts from the mediocre talents that hold them and perhaps gain the other when those welterweights that hold them toss it in the trash can, but time is running out for GiGi, and just like he is waiting for Hopkins to receive socila security, Canelo is watching and waiting for him to age too.

I thought GGG made $2 mil oct. 17??

I thought I read that Golovkin will make more for NOT fighting on Nov. 21 than Ward has made for any single fight??

Not that it matters. GGG and Ward have never been in the same weight class and really have nothing to do with each other. Ward needs to stop ducking Wladimir.

Hopkins is done. NOBODY wants him, as he brings nothing to the table. If Golovkin decided to waste time and fight a 50-year old with no belts, haters would just say that Bernard was shot.

Obviously any logic you present doesn't matter. Anybody who isn't in GGG's weight class and/or is contracted to a different network GGG is ducking. Light heavyweights, jr middleweights contracted to Showtime, 51 year old men coming off a brutal loss at 175.... He's ducking all of them according to mentally deficient people and they'll never accept any logic.
