Y’all trippin. GGG still has at least 2 good matches left 1 vs Charlo & 1 vs Janibek to pass the torch & the belts.
How did he "win a maximum of two rounds"? They practically landed the same number of punches and G landed the majority of his in the last half of the fight.
If he lost yesterday, he took very little damage during the fight. Much less than against Murata for example. It is therefore almost certain that he will still make at least one last fight (he says it himself) and therefore several questions arise. The category first. GGG is still WBA and IBF champion in middleweight but is going down wise? And if so against whom? Eubank Jr seems to me to be the most interesting candidate in terms of risk/reward and the fight would be easy to do. It should be noted that Canelo risks taking a sabbatical year, which could lead one or two federations to withdraw a title from him. It seems to me that Ryder is a WBA mandatory challenger and again a Golovkin vs Ryder for the vacant WBA title seems feasible to me.
This site should have a pinned thread exclusively for conspiracy theorists. Cant stand the "fixed fight" brigade.
I missed the fight due to unforeseen circumstances but I feel that a fight vs Janibek should be an absolute no no. Little reward fighting Janibek and he would get hurt in this fight, stopped I believe.
Golovkin can ride off into the sunset on a win streak as long as he avoids David Benevidez. Despite being completely shot, he'd still murk Hymen Mung and Jerome Chorlo.
I thought the same, but Golovkin was super friendly with Murata after the end of each round and he presented his robe to Murata after knocking him out. Maybe he's super emotional that his career is winding down quickly and views every fight as a chance to show his love for the fight game in his farewell tour. I dunno, but GGG the Lover is weird.
He should retire, but if he's going to move forward then he needs to take a "gimmick" regional opponent who's worth more in terms of $ than he is in competition. I don't want to see GGG become a punching bag, and he's getting there quickly. I Low expectations for any fighter in his 40s. The bigger story last night, imo, was how poor Canelo looked.
No holding back, you produced a first-rate conspiracy theory and the cherry on top is, without any evidence. Anything to console yourself that your boy lost and lost badly.
Me too But that is the way of the world. Old warriors going out on their shield passing the torch. just as I cheered ggg on When he was hurting & smashing random MW no hoper cans I will cheer him on getting hurt & ultimately stopped when he passes the torch. this is what we demand of our warriors, No sacred cows , blood in blood out. sorry brother I like watching people getting punched in the face… a lot.
