@ 160 beside Martinez, theres no other interesting option in terms of marketability and since the Chavez Jr fight is off, GGG should go after Bika's belt ! :good

Unless he plans on staying at 168, a fight against Bika makes little sense for Golovkin.

Would be a good fight Bika was more Competitive against Ward than Froch, Dawson, and Abraham so while GGG would be favourite I don't think it would be easy and Bikas style may make it a competitive fight.

Bika will be fighting the winner of DeGale vs Gonzalez, although a GGG vs Bika would be good.

I'd like golovkin to stay at middleweight for a few years and be a truly dominant champion before moving up . So many fighters now just jump in weight to quickly

    Murray
    Geale
    Rubio

are the only decent competition left @ 160 for GGG at this moment.

Bika a Haymon guy, not gonna happen.

Just hoping they find a decent opponent for July, its going to be tough. We know Geale, Martinez, Murray unavailable. Rubio wont risk his mandatory shot at real WBC belt against GGG. Sturm... just wont, even if he was available. Too soon for Kessler, or Froch/Groves winner.

    Which leaves....

    .....

    .....

    .....

Well, I guess we better hope they can work a Quillin deal after all. Not holding my breath.

Most likely it will be some tomato can. And we will get to wade through 10000 hater threads on the topic to try and find a thread that talks about boxing. Just how it goes sometimes.:-(

This ^. In some ways it'd be a great introductory fight for Golovkin at SMW - but the moment he wins a belt at 168 any further MW fights become essentially irrelevent for him.

Unless they're commited to moving up right now, which doesn't appear to yet be the case, only the Jr fight (big money and recognition, but no strap) makes sense.

With the potential for the Maravilla fight still there, Geale seemingly willing, Murray virtually a certainty for Monte Carlo and even Quillin reportedly back in the mix there's still some worthwhilre fights which could be made at 160.

Worn out by wading through BS already? Where's your commitment man?

Sad thing is the way things are going I could easily see Quillin playing along then being pulled at the last minute just to screw with HBO. Quillins a Haymon fighter and given that Haymons involvement has already been conncted with the loss of the Jr fight and Kovalev - Stevenson I can see HBO being... well, perhaps a little sceptical of any offers coming from that direction.

Actually if Haymon plays it well they can probably make out that GGGs ducking Quillin by putting an offer on the table when they know that HBOs gonna be (justifiably) very wary of accepting.
