GGG should focus on defending his belts

Defending titles = Fighting Bums is what some people think.

 

He has to defend his belts if he wants to keep them, so there is no question that he has to fight mandatories whoever they are.

 

I think his only mandatory right now is Johnson. The IBO doesn't enforce mandatory and the WBA is full of low rank champions who need to fight each other before having the chance to fight the super champion. And even there I'm not sure and the WBA works...

 

Yeah, I don't understand why he wouldn't fight Tureano Johnson in Feb/March and get rid off the IBF mando.

 

Don't worry the GGG bum circuit will continue for as long as his dumb fans continue to lap it up.

 

Yes he should focus on his game, no matter WBC or WBO don,t take interest in him. Because there will be chances for him at sometime...

it seems ggg and k2 have no problem with it as long as his fans don't....its funny though..if ggg were someone else theyd be demanding he challenge himself and aim for greatness....but its ggg...so these guys are ok with him "dominating" 160...which is weak overall and doesn't really have another a level fighter in it or close to it....unless he is willing to make a concession for the biggest fight he could possibly make in canelo...which im having a hard time understanding why he woudlnt

I just have a hard time understanding why these guys don't seem interested in ggg getting the biggest fight he can make in his career.......yes he has to bend.....does it suck the mw title being defended at less than 160? yeah...but iiwii....its been passed twice under the limit already in the last year and a half.....

this is gggs opportunity to seize control and never be dictated to again....and yet these guys are like "nope he s houldnt do it...its a disgrace to fight for the belt under 160 when yer the mando...blah blah"...they sound like manny fans "who is he to dictate terms".....just take the fight and beat canelo like you all say he will do so easy....and yer in the drivers seat....yet these guys continue to say its ok not to

 

ill say this also...im starting to believe or wonder if gggs fans are fearing the day t hey have to make excuses and reduce themselves the way they had to when pac lost....about the shoulder ...about jmm being roided....because ggg fans are pac fans

and you all talked a big game about pac for so long....and then the day came when you have to reduce yourself to low levels you never thought you would....to levels you would never go face to face....

there is no good reason for ggg to not do what he has to in order to make this fight ASAP.........yeah he can wait it out and wait till the wbc finally strips canelo and he can beat Johnson or heiland for the belt...and nobody will give a damn to be honest....hell be 35, finally getting the wbc belt, and still nothing worth anything on his resume......he should be doing whatever he can, within reason, to make this happen asap...

 

Fighting mandatories is what every real champion should do. The ones who don't make a mockery out of the sport.
