Froch was prime but we need to put it into perspective. He'd already lost to Kessler,Taylor was very unlucky and imo Dirrell beat him. Kessler was a good victory and as I've already stated Abraham was poor in both the super 6 and at 168 as a whole. He's not the same monster as he was at 160. They're 3 excellent names. But you cannot live off these forever,we then have the Greens, Bika, weight drained Dawson. Then prior to the super 6 he was fighting Shelby Pudwell. I'm a Ward fan but his resume whilst good is vastly overrated and he's wasted what? 3 years? When he should be a household name.
If he were to move, uncle Bob would be best, Oscar 2 and TMT 3. Going over to PBC would definitely widen his audience, and bring Haymons viewing numbers through the roof, but it would also freeze him from fights with Ward Kovalev, Zurdo, and possibly even K2 up n comers. Al needs to extend his hand to the other promoters to save the PBC, and if he did as much, we could essentially call his TITLISTs, the People's Boxing Champions league
Ward is as big of a household name as GGG. Their numbers reflect that, and Ward isn't getting the push GGG does. GGG is far more attractive to the casual fan, he's white, and he always goes for the knockout, though that might change if he fought guys with a pulse. Like I said, instead of worrying about who WArd is going to fight, I mean he is fighting Kovalev LOL, you should worry about the guy whose best win is Martin fking Murray and David Lemieux.
Where do people draw this idea that boxing fans are exclusive to certain demographics? For example: Moving to PBC will gain the demographic and Mayweather fans. This idea is ridiculous. I like fights on Showtime, HBO, PBC, as long as there are good match ups. Don't care who the promoter or network is.
Golovkin is 3/4 white, 1/4 asian. Ward is 1/2 white, but his skin color does not reflect that. If Ward was 3/4 black, and 1/4 white but looked white as hell he would be loved by the Ward haters on here . anyways it's almost 2am here, I'm going to bed, but seriously you should worry about the guy who's only fought Martin Murray/David Lemieux at 34, not the guy who has fought Dawson/Froch/Abraham/Kessler, and is going to fight Kovalev too.
While true, its obvious that some promoters focus more on certain demographics over other demographics.
Let's see if Ward does in fact get into the ring with Kovalev. Don't choke on Floyd's **** in your dreams.
what does this haev to do with Floyd? Don't choke on Ward's **** in yours, because you're such a huge fan of his, and you're not a little g fanboy trying to defend him from avoiding ward at all costs.
You have to make up your mind in a previous post you said Golovkin didn't avoid/duck Ward as they're in different divisions...you need to make up your mind. Sweet dreams Wardo
Ducking avoiding aren't the same thing. To me ducking is when someone is in the same division or your mando like Canelo/GGG, avoiding is when you make claims like you'll fight anyone from 154-168 but you do everything in your power to not make a fight happen with someone that's not in your division. is it a duck no? Is it he avoiding making that fight at all costs? yes. Now stfu and let me get the last word, or I can't sleep. :hi:
