Meeting at a C/W is fair. Other than that, Ward should get the A-side treatment. Ward is the more proven fighter. He's HOF bound and P4P #2. This is a step up fight for GGG, not Ward. Golovkin is shaping up to be the bigger draw. But, he has not proven to be the better fighter.

The thing I don't get though is how Ward is WAY more proven than GGG? That I don't get, really. Yes he beat champions, Kessler, Froch and Bika, but all of those had lost prior to their fight.

Bika had lost to Bute and Calsaghe.
Kessler had lost to faded Calsague.
    Froch had lost to Kessler.

Those wins are good wins but GGG piles up few good wins to.

Ward is so childish and tiresome. Now he is going all green eyed monster that GGG is far more popular and Ward is trying anything to keep his fading name relevant, including e-mails call out through his attourney and who could forget the "Son of God" first calling out GGG a few days after GGG's father passed away earlier this year.

Ward is a hypocrite with delusions of grandeur who's fan base consists entirely of *****s who only support him due to a specific half of his ethnic background.

That Super Six Tournament did wonders for Ward's career in terms of legacy. It created a venue for the best in the division at the time (Bute wasn't in) to establish who the top fighter is. Ward came out on top. And he has not fought too many cupcakes outside of that. Bika is a tough out for anyone. That was outside the tourney. Rodriguez is a good fighter but nothing special. Both were stay busy fights.

You say they all lost, beforehand. But, look who they lost to...the other best guys in the division. Calzaghe was on his way out. But he is a legend and is historically ranked pretty high at 168. No shame in losing to him, early in those guy's careers. Froch and Kessler had to face off in the tourney. But, Froch avenged that loss later and emerged as the better fighter.

Even though that SS tourney had its shortcomings (poorly orchestrated, too long and drawn out, too many hometown fights (Ward)), it happened nonetheless. And it elevated nearly everyone involved.

GGG, unfortunately, does not have a venue like that at 160.
