If/after Golovkin unifies the belts at Middleweight (WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO/IBO) he should do like Roy Jones Junior and call out everybody, with the promise that if they hold a Middleweight belt he will fight them to add all the belts to his collection for good measure. WBU/WBF/IBA/IBC/etc. That would be really cool.
nah I think GGG will fight canelo then sanuders/Monroe winner and call it a career. I would love to see him go to 168 and try to fight rameriz though.
What's GGG defense count after he beats Canelo and possibly Saunder? Has he then broken BHOP record? He can't leave Middleweight without beating BHOP record he is too close.
True. And he needs to get passed Saunders as well, and I think that guy is a bit underrated. I think GGG will do it though.
not sure I guess he could stay and fight charlo and Jacobs deserves a 2nd shot in my opinion. plus if canelo loses I think hes gonna force a rematch unless its a brutal ko.
RJJ never had all the belts at 160 ,he only had the IBF and if Golovkin is still going to fight bums like Roy did Kelly, Woods and stuff then he should just quit. If he won't challenge himself just to make a certain segment of boxing fans feel like the GWH is the best ever then he should go the hell back to that former Soviet garbage dump of a country. Go ahead and try to get your friends to find it on a globe.
Then like Hopkins he needs to fight more welterweights. That's the formula at 160 . "Waiting for Welters" is the middle weight motto for some.
Yeah I know, but I remember RJJ calling everybody out on TV when he had most of the belts at Light Heavyweight. It's a cool concept. If somebody could manage to catch all the belts around and then make a ringwalk with all the belts that would be really cool. It would sell as well.
Should he be victorious against Alvarez and then Saunders, would like to see him try his hand out against the SMW tournament winner.
