GGG has to decide for his belt or for the money, if you have to fight a mandatory opponent you can do it or you can vacate your belt and then fight the bigger names to gain money. Both isn't possible.

GGG will keep his belts and fight SD. Then he can negotiate a Canelo fight at a later date.

I want to see Saunders more than canelo, What happened to " my goal is all belts in middle weight division" ??

If the goal is canleo next that's fine and perfectly understandable, If not it should be saunders in a unification and he can get an exception for his mandatory in this case.

Saunders will take the fight, especially if GGG calls him out, There is no reason Team GGG should not be calling out saunders for that final belt. Waiting for canleo is understandable but canelo aside saunders is the number one guy to fight, there is no ifs or butts about it.

Just like wilder has the final HW belt, nobody wants to see AJ or wilder fighting mandatorys when there is a unification to be made.

I'd rather see Saunders than Clen Canelo. Golden Boy in general is shady.

Am I reading it right? Fight him by August 3 or agree to a fight by then? If it's the former that's a fight in less than two month's time. Contract, venue, recovery, training camp all need to be factored in to less than eight weeks. It's hardly typical. If you want a stick to beat him with this ain't the one...

How is Aug. 3rd less than 2 months from now? May-June-July-August.

There are so many good fighters at 160 right now that GGG fighting anyone in the top 5 would be consider a duck of another fighter.

    BJS
    Derevyanchenko
    Canelo
    Charlo
    Jacobs
    Andrade

That's a nice list of fighters at 160. Personally, I want to see BJS, Derevyanchenko, Charlo, Andrade, Canelo and Jacobs....in that order. It's too bad GGG is aging and may not get to fight all of them.

you guys really hoping this Derevyanchenko dude is the guy who will do what no one else has done to GGG? 12 fights and some of you say he has earned his shot right?? went the full distance with someone David leumieux stopped and you all think GGG is ducking him huh? here is where you dudes fail on the subject of boxing lol A low risk and even lower payday to fight someone who has fought absolutely nobody of note in 12 fights so far. Nobody knows who the **** this dude even is, and yet you think the current champion is ducking him right? but he wants to fight Canelo.... but he is scared of the novice pro right?? yeah sure. The hate is just affecting your judgement lads. time to go do some work and get off your keyboard coaching couches i think :)

Can you blame him? He can only fight one fight at a time. If you were in his shoes wouldn't you go down the list starting with the biggest paydays first? Or at least a guy who holds a title?

I think the Derevyanchenko fight is more dangerous than BJS. What I find interesting is for quite some time the story has gone something like this with GGG. "GGG never fights anyone. He needs to fight X." Then when GGG fights X and destroys X the next comment by these same posters is, "GGG hasn't fought anyone. X was never any good." The same thing will be said when he destroys BJS.

May of been typical once of a day but certainly not nowadays, that said Abel Sanchez used to reallywind me up with his talk of four fights a year cause nothing in Golovkin schedule has ever shown they’re gonna do that.
Derevchenko despite what the Canelo/Derevchenko fan club say on here, would be easy work for Golovkin and I’m not having a go at the guy it’s just that Golovkin has the experience,is many levels above and Derevchenko is just too green at this stage.
Once Derevchenko has a name on his resume, even someone like a Monroe then maybe then you could say he’d have a shot but what these goons on here don’t realise who’ve jumped on Derevchenko bandwagon is the type of opponents he’s been beating to get his mandatory status,I’ve no idea who they are but know and trust me some of em have more losses than wins against their names which is why I find it baffling how they’ve latched onto to this kids name.
