No way 168 is weaker. Especially for a fighter who's willing to travel like GGG. Kessler Ward Froch Groves Bika Direll. C'mon.
Golovkin and K2 have sent offers to other titlists in attempts to unify. When GGG held only the "paper" WBA regular belt, he lined up every one of Sturms mandatories in order to ensure his shot. NJkam dropped his opportunity and fled the scene. Sturm lost it to Geale and Geale dropped it and fled the scene(albeit for a money fight vs Mundine) GGG has been attempting unification for 4 yrs almost. And while he's had a couple tough outs, for the majority of his reign, he's been the MAN.
GGG is the real deal people just can not except it...............................he will unify the middleweight division.............and then he will take care of ward
Because that's where the money is, and the prestige! Beating a guy like Mayflower nets you an insane amount of money and fame, while beating Froch or Ward only gets you some fame and a decent payday. if he can make 154 then he clearly isn't a extreme weightcutting MW either, so what's the problem?
So it's okay for him to be the bigger guy on fight night, but not the smaller guy? He hasn't put in enough work to go for "money" fights. That should be a right reserved for the guys who have gone through the trenches. GGG doesn't have 1 signature win. Hasn't stepped up 1 time, and you guys are talking about "money fights"
The only fights that count at MW for GGG are; -Quillin -Soliman -Cotto That's the path to MW unification Fighting Geale is a good path to padding your resume with a fighter who loss to Mundine. Eevn Sturm would be a better win than Geale.
He's taken every step UP that has come his way. He can only chase guys so hard, until he has to sign a guy who won't run. I don't think anyone genuinely wants to see Mayweather vs GGG at this point. Now, if Mayweather were to sneak a MW title from Cotto, then I would feel Mayweather is OBLIGATED to fight GGG, even if he takes him down to 153.:think
It's what he wants. It's what you would want. It's what I would want. It's what every fighter wants. What would you chose if you get the chance? Fighting a smaller guy, with a HUGE name, for a shitload of money or fighting a bigger guy, with a big name, for a very nice payday? Floyd or Ward? Easier fight, easier money, more prestige... I would know what I'd chose. Why is it so strange Golovkin prefers that scenario above moving up?
Never seen a guy get so much hate. No one will fight the poor dude. Geale is fighting for him out of desperation because he has no belt.
GGG fans are comedy. The man doesn't have ONE great win, and you're all against him moving up. Yet you guys want to talk about him like he's some legend killer. I'm leaving this thread. Enjoy the next 5 years of your boy beating on boy scouts
Profusely. That's the first time I've seen someone gush about the strength of Hopkins' middleweight era :lol
Ggg is fine. It is just Mayweather fans who strangely:shock: have hard time on supporting this talented fighter.
