I don't really agree with it either. You know I wanted to see Canelo vs Golovkin for the IBF in September. But I mean now that there is a vacant title available, since Golovkin is ducking the rematch, I'd rather see Canelo fight Derevyanchenko for the IBF Title than Daniel Jacobs.

 

Ducked a rematch...that he originally signed up for, even forgoing a December bout to make it happen. ANd yet Canelo is the one who got causght red haired cheating, and you still say it's 3G ducking.

Both Golovkin and Sanchez made several remarks that accused Canelo of cheating. Golovkin said he was sent pictures from a doctor that showed Canelo with needle marks on his stomach. Sanchez accused Canelo of having illegal hand wraps. Sanchez complained that Canelo wasn't being tested. The list of goes on and on. Golovkin and Sanchez fueled the fire that got Canelo suspended. If you remember back to April, it was not a surefire thing that Canelo would great suspended. Many fans thought it wasn't a big deal, since other fighters from Mexico tested positive in the past due to meat contamination and were believed and it went unpunished. But Team GGG really started complaining about it like drama queens and it fueled public outrage and made fans believe conspiracies that Canelo was cheating. Team GGG had a lot to do with all that which got Canelo suspended and the fight cancelled.

 

Id agree with you but for one thing Canelo DOES get preferential treatment just like Mayweather did. What Gennady & Abel were saying is 100 % TRUE Canelo CHEATED & should have been punished accordingly but he wasn't & still hasn't been. He should have received at least a 2 year ban.

I feel you, it wasn’t because he said no my mistake, they wanted an answer and he wouldn’t say yes. If he said I will be willing to fight Derevyanchenko in August they would have let him keep the belt but he wasn’t giving them an answer he probably wants to see if he can fight Canelo or Murata or Saunders before he says anything.
