A lot of people are judging GGG on his resume and lack of top class opposition. I agree that he is yet to fight an elite fighter or even a solid champion. However, his punching technique is excellent, his footwork is fantastic and he has proven that he can take a good punch. This qualifies him in my eyes as a really good fighter who is yet to fulfil his potential. I personally think he has taken a few because he wasn't worried about his opponents power, and much like kovalev, when faced with a "puncher/ko artist" he will be more cautious. I don't mind him staying active but I hope he gets a big fight soon. Who else is proven to be quality but untested by a champion?

Because he hits hard enough to test GGG's chin. Not that's a reason to fastrack him but who else could do it? certianly not martin murray. And kid duck is avoiding the god of war like the plague.

I think GGG has a solid chin but pretty much anyone can get knocked out other than the Margaritos and Mosleys of the world and I don't think GGG has that kind of a granite chin.

I definitely think Canelo could hurt GGG but that doesn't mean I'd pick him :!:

You don't think that if Canelo hit GGG flush with a good combo he could hurt him?

Don't get me wrong. I'd pick Canelo to get TKOd but its not like GGG is made of stone and Canelo hits pretty hard.

Canelo does not hit as hard as his body language and the critics make it seem. He takes a solid swing, from the side it looks like he landed a monster shot, but none of his opponents fold under those shots. He hit Angulo with SO MANY clean shots, and only got a mercy tko. At one point he was landing 3 punch combos on Angulo and he was still standing. It hurts me to think what would happen to Angulo if GGG landed the same combination on him.

You got a point considering De la rosa KOd Angulo next but I still think that Canelo hits decently hard.

Thats why Lara was so scared to engage in his fight against Canelo

No I don't Stevens and Rubio most likely hit far harder than Canelo and GGG wasn't fazed by their power, I'm a big fan of Canelo's but he couldn't put down old ass Mosley or Angulo.

Geale is good, Stevens is good, Rubio very underrated and good Macklin was past it but good.

Rubio and Stevens would both knock Lara and Trout TFO.
