Regardless of where the fight takes place excluding Golovkin's home country, Russia, Ward wins.
At this point in time I doubt that Ward will want all of his fights in Cali.
If he is able to break free from Goosen he would probably end up with GBP and would want to fight either in Vegas or the east coast (NY/NJ/PA) where his fight operations would be managed by BHOP.

 

Ward refused to fight Stevenson at 168 and Ward claims that Kovalev is too big for him, yet Golovkin would have to come up 8 lbs. and Ward is afraid to come up 7 lbs. for Kovalev and to fight Stevenson at 168. However, Ward will only fight in his home town with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., Ward is nothing........................Ward is not a star, he is boring, his best punch is a headbutt...............Ward will have to fight outside of his home town if he wants a good fight, but STEVENSON IS WAITING FOR WARD TO ANSWER HIM...................WARD IS AFRAID OF STEVENSON AND KOVALEV...................

I am on the GGG bandwagon like anyone but this is a bad fight for him. He has never met a defensive wizard who will extend him like Ward would.

Maybe a few more fights first.

 

I'm good with this. I still might slightly favour Ward and I think Gennady would do best to test the waters at 168 first, but if Ward will (or can) accept the split why not?

There really isn't many fighters out there who are going to seriously test GGG and obviously Ward has to be the most challenging fight out there for him - I think the smart move would be to wait until this can be made a PPV though, and that ain't happening yet.
