    Canelo outlanded GGG in power punches. Canelo also rearranged Golovkin's internal organs while Golovkin didn't do the same to Canelo. Golovkin's face looked worse than Canelo's, and just by watching the fight you can see Canelo landed the harder punches to the head.

    So no, despite GGG being more active with the jab, he was outslugged with power punches to the body and had his chin checked more often than Canelo did, so he did in fact dish out less punishment than his opponent.

    Simple arithmetic.

    Power Punches > Jabs

    Exactly. Even though Margarito beat Cotto, it was Margarito who's body was never the same nor responded the same after that fight.

    Golovkin is way more technically sound than "Air" Gift Garcia.... Missing left hooks and haymakers all night isn't exactly smart either. Feed this clown to Spence already.......

    I agree.

    Most people just look at the obvious when judging how much damage someones taken... and thinks that because there was no super obvious signs of trauma (cuts, swelling, wobbled), that there was no heavy damage inflicted.

    At the end of the day G is a human, and he took some massive brain jarring shots against two very decent punchers. To think those shots didnt do damage on some level to him... idk... I just find that hard to believe.

    His next two fights will say alot about the effects those fights have on G... I personally think there will be a noted difference, but if theres not than good for him and his fans.

    There have been fighters that have come back with good form from having taken magnitudes worse punches and punishment... so time will tell.

    I'd say look at the end of the fight. GGG dominated til the 10th or 11th and then he came apart and lost the last few when he needed a big close to the show. i would imagine canelos punches had something to do with it

    it's a combo of things but he finished stronger vs Jacobs. we know his age but this is a discussion on punishment he has taken
