Nope, i live in the SW united states where chicanos outnumber whites and ive been in countless gyms all over and see the same mexican crudeness. They're tough, resilient, and have a good sense of the craft but haven't the skillset, athletism nor coordination to capitalize on it.
Not quite. As I recall, he is the one who said he would fight anyone between 154 and 168. Floyd has never said he would go to 160. I think the weight is too much for him, personally. So can we stop saying how Ward is supposed to be so scared of him?
I read your entire sport, and the fact that you think only a "handful" of Mexican fighters are skilled than you pretty much proved my point that you don't know **** about Mexican boxing. And from what ive seen of your posts, no kid...you don't even know a quarter of Boxing that you actually think you do.
Yeah, the average idiot assumes, without watching, if a guy is Mexican then he is some crude slugger with no speed, no technique, and a good chin. Nothing is further from the truth. A lot of Mexicans are skilled boxers and technicians.
Small handful? Canto, Morales, Barrera, Castillo, Mijares, Rafa Marquez, Saldivar, Napoles, Sosa, Chiquita Gonzales, Titere Vasquez, Paez, and many others were very skillful. You just have small hands.
Ain't Jr gotta get through Vera (at 165) first:roll:. 168? So he'll be fightin' at what? 195-200 Swear that kid's gonna burst one day when someone hits him after rehydrating
Why would GGG take that fight at 168? By offering Chavez a 161 catchweight and Jr declining, he's basically gotten Jr to admit he won't be a middleweight again. That would take a Martinez rematch off the table (as Sergio won't move up), leaving an opening for, you guessed it....GGG. Assuming that story is true, Chavez can't fight at 160 again without looking like he ducked Golovkin.
GGG is a hype job, he will not only lose against chavez but chavez will destroy him, his dad was a great boxer, he knows everything there is, there is a reason he has just 1 loss. GGG would get beaten badly, it would be a clinic. It would be like when you put a guy like bradley or ortiz in their with a pacman or mayweather. They looked great before but in those later fights just got schooled
he wont take the fight? i thought he could take ANYONE from 154-168? chavez can't make 160 anymore, step up to the plate good boy golovkin!! like it or not GGG is not the draw, chavez jr is. you know why ggg won't take the fight at 168? jr has an iron chin and would beat ggg at 168 thats why!!!! to the guy that said there are only a handful of skilled mexican boxers YDKSAB!!!!!!!!
I'm a huge Golovkin fan but Chavez brings things to the table that GGG has never had to deal with before. That combination of size, strength and will would force GGG to fight from the backfoot for most of the fight and I'm just not sure if he(or his team) is ready for that...at the moment. This is not to say that Jr. would win, but he would certainly have his moments...
I think Serg has too much pride to retire without facing Golovkin. Dibella's doing everything he can to steer him out of that fight, but Martinez isn't oblivious to the growing buzz that he's ducking GGG. He's worked too hard to go out with that knock against him; Sergio will go out on his shield before he gets branded a coward/ducker.
