Why were Oosthuizen and Rodriguez only offered fights at 164 then? The threadstarter is nothing more than a troll, but the 154-168 claim should be treated as promoter BS until proven otherwise.

I have to agree with you all. GGG is a hype job with zero defense. Froch would stop GGG with in 5 rounds. GGG is a human punching bag.

He's not a great defender, but he's no Chavez Jr lol. If you got a problem with zero defense, Jr's your man. And if you love good defense, you should be a fan of Wlad, who's barely been touched by all these guys you promised would knock him out.

Only sensible post of this joke thread since i last posted on it's
1st page. This shows how highly regarded GGG is because of
the amount of attention shown. Too bad that only maybe 4 or 5
posters on this thread know what they are talking about. Congrats
to you for being 1 of them.

Good job GG. Chavez Jr always wants some sort of size advantage like Margarito. The man had about 20+ lbs on Serg and still lost.

don't understand why he'd turn that fight down.his biggest payday and he'd win.

To anyone popping in on this thread on the final page:

It's a troll thread. Chavez just stated in an interview he's fighting Vera at 168, then dropping back to 160 to go for his title back.

OP should put this supposed source on the first post because Al Sharpton has more credibility than this thread right now

    Don't expect one.

Google "Julio Cesar Chavez back to boxing" for an actual source of Jr's upcoming plans.

He'd probably win but he'd get roughed up in the process. Until Jr. has a belt again, I'm not sure if that fight will ever be worth it...from Golovkin's perspective. Golovkin isn't scared of Jr. but there are higher profile fights available to him where he won't be at a 30lb weight disadvantage.

This ^. TS references a Mexican sports tabloid site ffs. Of course Jrs saying he can beat GGG - he's the big dog in the division now. Jrs coming off a loss and has no belt to offer - he's just trying to get himself noticed.

But there is no offer, and even if there was JCC would need to bring a lot more to the table to be asking for a 25-30lb fight night advantage.

TBH I very much doubt Arum let's this fight be made, but it'd be funny if GGG called Jrs bluff.

That said, I do want to see GGG and Jr fight down the line, but Jrs the one who needs to rebuild his name first.

Hmmmm, sounds like the perfect description of a certain Emannuel Paci - OW. Weighs in at 126 and fights at 142 - 144.
