Strange it's only for the IBO. Doe's the WBA become vacant? Is the WBA sh***y over Golovkin not fighting Fletcher? Strange how boxing works hope the Geale fight still goes ahead.

I think way too many..including some of Boxrec editors focus way too much into crap in Facebook & Twitter

Article over at the scene suggests ggg vs geale for "super title"
Kinda makes sense(aloght having 1 belt would make more sense) not exactly sure and im sure they do whatever they please anyway, but dosnt wba have option to elevate regular champ to "super champ" if a fighter unifys or has 10 defences of regular belt( think ggg has had 10 defences)

This would leave the russian interm belt holder( ranked no1) who won on w.end to face fletcher (ranked no2) for regular belt....

This is only a guess, as wba is involved, nothing will suprise...
Honestly cant see em stripping ggg who they practically handed the belt too. Wish they just had 1 belt n he could have taken it from sturm years ago n maybee some of the top middleweights could have faced each other. As it stands, most of the top few over the last few years have danced around and not faced each other...

Not the fighters faults themselves, just the beast that is boxing business

Probably but I hope not... Think its at super middle, wba have a super champ, being andree ward, a unified champ, carl froch ibf & wba, also making him a super champ... They may also have a regular, interum n maybee international champ also.... Confused yet??? Hahahaa

Unfortunatly belts dont mean what they used to...

Belts have never meant less than they do now.

He really doesn't have much choice, i doubt after the issues he gave Soliman that he will get a fight against him and GGG is really the only choice he has left. He has a set on him i give him that much but he cant win this fight, GGG is a monster and Geale will be VERY lucky to see the end of the bout. I suspect Geale will retire after this fight.

As soon as the Card he was on to fight Macklin fell over Geale's management actively pursued the Golovkin fight. They ran at the chance.

I never thought they wanted to fight GGG so they have proven me wrong. I honestly dont think they have any other choices though. Soliman would be impossible to deal with now given Geales team did everything they could to avoid fighting him and i think from memory it was for personal reasons, nothing to do with him ducking soliman.

If this is Geales last hurra, it makes business sense but i just cant see Geale getting up for this one, he gets hit to much and against a guy like GGG you dont wanna be getting hit, all Geale has to bring to the table is work rate and stamina. GGG is just to heavy handed, to crafty and to quick for Geale. Geales people must either be cashing in on one last fight or they think Geale really has what no one else has been able to deliver to defeat GGG. Time will soon tell but i really dont think Geale will even bother GGG one bit.

The Geale - Golovkin matchup has nothing to do with Soliman. Geale's management were actively pursuing Golovkin well before Soliman won Strurm's title. This is about Geale seeking the biggest fight out there and it looks like he has done it :good

So then if he looses to GGG you think its possible that they will chase a fight with Soliman?

Geale has just landed the biggest fight out there at Madison Square Garden in the US. Do you really think he is thinking about Soliman at the moment? :-(
