You're just making presumptions which have very little strength and validity. Point is Golovkin hasn't shown much to say he has a good defence. Until he actually incorporates defence into his success against top guys, this topic is pointless and highly flawed

It ain't gonna be Hagler-Hearns. It's going to be a complete and total mismatch.

Your prediction record is horrific my friend

This has Hagler Hearns written all over it, if P4P King Gennady decides to makes it so

Dude! Share whatever you're smoking! Seriously, share it!

Golovkin is a top talent in all of boxing. He has power, smarts, stamina, and an abundance of talent. There's a reason he's considered one of the top P4P fighters in the world today despite never beating anyone noteworthy.

Lemieux is, at the very best, a mediocrity with some power. That's it!

This is a gross mismatch! You know it. I know it. The rest of the GGG cheerleaders here know it, too.

It's a mismatch of the highest order.

So who the hell is he supposed to fight to give people a good show man? Should we wait for him to unify and for Ward to become ppv?

GGG usually puts up a fun show, even if most of his fights are mismatches. This one is no different. I expect Golovkin to blast the mediocre Lemieux out of there fairly early, without much trouble.

But this doesn't have Hagler-Hearns written all over it the way the salivating fanboys would like to believe. It has mismatch written all over it.

Yep! It has a better chance of looking like Lewis-Golota than it does of looking like Hagler-Hearns.

But these GGG fans know this. They're hyping Lemiuex - someone who's mediocre at best at the championship level - the same way they previously hyped the unheralded Stevens.

Even the thread starter knows this is a mismatch. Don't let him fool you with this troll thread. He knows Lemieux is nowhere near Golovkin's level, ergo, GGG's defensive prowess will morph into something resembling Sweet Pea.

    Why?

BECAUSE THIS IS A MISMATCH OF EPIC PROPORTIONS!

Probably even a worse mismatch than Floyd-Berto.

Don't count your chickens. Lemieux has de essaying power. He hits on the arms. He can break them. Catches you with a left hook. Off comes your head. He hits harder than GGG and is much stronger.

In retrospect, Hagler/Hearns turned to be somewhat of a mismatch.

Let's hope Lemeiux is more competitive than Hearns was.

Triple G has very solid defensive skills. He starts to get punched when he is looking to finish his opponents. He could fight 12 rounds and get only few punches but he has to entertain. That's his credo.

People don't see that detail. He get hits only when the fight is decided. Not before. Only when the fight is decided and his opponent it hurt.

He is forced to open up and finish his opponents early. He cannot afford to go 12 rounds because he is a foreigner. People are not tolerant to the foreigners, especially when their beat up the local fighters. It is not fair but it is how it works.

Lemieux has more genuine offensive capability, and grit to land than anyone GGG has faced.

I have seen some Stevens dissing on the thread, which is in some ways fair but also, Stevens is pretty good at facing guys who will come forward and trade without smothering like GGG. He was a dangerous guy due to styles, and his ability to catch and counter. Golovkin was levels above, but it was still an interesting fight.

Stevens is not a superb all around fighter, but he does do a couple things well.

Same with Lemieux. Though I do account DL as being on a higher level overall, than Stevens. But not on the same level as GGG. But its still interesting, because he has the agression and power to present a new type of challenge. We presume that GGG will be able to easily deal with it, but dont know.

Lemieux is at least as good as Quillin (I account his as better at the moment by a fair margin) and brings something new and some legit danger. Is it a mismatch? It might turn out to be, if GGG is on the spot with his offensive counter punching. But I dont think its the 20/1 fight some make it out, I'd put it closer to 5/1

I agree that GGG is gonna win easily, but I think Lemieux will have some moments and make it a better fight than most GGG fights.

He gets hit only when the fight is decided. Take a closer look. He gets rarely touch before that point of his fights. Only when he opens up to kill. Only then.
