GGG Vs Andre Ward

Ggg never showed a level that he could beat ward. He went life and death with jacobs guys on the level of jacobs ward dominated. You talk about ward being vulnerable to the jab Kovalev at that time arguably had the best jab in boxing and it was power behind it. He also had a reach advantage over ward ggg doesn't have that his jab wouldn’t be anywhere near as effective as Kovalev. With that said ward neutralized Kovalevs jab in both fights. Ggg is vulnerable to everything his defense isn't good and he's slow as ****.

 

Personally I just think he's bigger with a good style

 

Ward by decision. Hands too fast, great timing, defense - head movement, guard, footwork, smothering/.clinching too good. He doesn't hurt GGG, but he befuddles and outpoints him for the most part.

 

Ward all day. That SMW tournament he won, he made other elite fighters look like novices with his speed and movement and not getting hit in return. GGG is an excellent fighter but Ward is just wrong for him, his lack of movement and speed. Would get picked apart. to a UD.

 

Ward would have made GGG look very bad at 168.

 

Ward definitely didn't neutralise Kovs jab in the first fight.

The second fight was a **** show and I don't think you can judge either fighter on that fight.

I think GGG jab is better than Kov's, less predictable, better angles. Kov is very straight and GGG better lateral movement.

 

Only because the judges robbed Kovalev.
