How do you see this fight going? Both in their prime obviously.

    I see GGG stopping AA.

I watched just about all of Abraham's fights through until his inclusion in the Super 6 Tournament. He caught my attention when he beat Howard Eastman and followed that up by stopping Kinsley Ikeke in only 5 rounds. I was convinced Ikeke had a long promising future ahead of him near the top of the division, so when Abraham dismissed him so quickly that really said something, so I followed Abraham avidly after that.

I have fond memories of watching grainy streams of his fights during my teen years. I was a big fan of his, as you pretty much had to be after his death-defying win over Miranda or watching him liquify Khoren Gevor's skeleton.

But there's nothing about Abraham that suggests to me that he could hang with GGG.

Their power and chins are very similar but GGG is way more skilled. Both could take the others shots but GGG would be able to land a lot more based on skill and AA’s willingness to take shots to deliver his own... I would think the accumulation would eventually catch up with AA.

He obliterated Matthew in 3 rounds, who was a tough world class operator who should've been crowned champ v Sturm, he's beat all of the 160lb fighters who he could get in the ring with him imo Canelo too..

you kidding me, UNcle Abe? He will struggle bad, but hes game, so he takes his beating like a man, loses close but clear decision.
Remember he is without germanic hometown advantage too, if this takes place in 3Gs germanic phase.

The only way Abe can marginally win is if he has hometown "germanic" advantage, say if 3G has moved on from fighting in Dusseldorf.

But middleweight/supermiddle Abe has good chin like welterweight/light middleweight Canelo, so i am sure he lasts.

GGG by easy decision. He is just a complete fighter where AA has his limitations. AA had a pretty solid defense working behind that high guard. On top of that he had an iron chin and plenty of grit and toughness. The knock on AA was he was slow footed, wide with his punches and fought at slow methodical pace. He was not the most versatile guy unlike GGG.

is Abe a true elite, I am not sure he is. GGG wins. Only elites beat 3G, this is a fact.

Abe was actually pretty decent at 160, his power seemed to go a fair bit when he moved up to 168 though.

Either way, GGG pretty comfortably and by decision.

@notjustacasual you just proved beyond a shadow of a doubt, you're just a casual.

I would agree with you about his power at 160 vs 168. Once Dirrell fought him, the book was out. He just couldn't handle the movement of guys like Ward and Dirrell. I believe Strum would have beaten him as well if they had ever fought.

Possibly, I have a real hard time rating Sturm as I can never remember which fights were absolute robberies on his part.
