Aint happenin' in Kaz...although I hear it's a nice place. If GGG beats Jacobs, Saunders and Canelo this year, it will be a great year.

 

Sanchez already is on tape saying GGG if successful with Jacobs will fight in Kazakhstan this June at some world expo sort of thing. That is totally believable, why anyone would think BJS takes that fight is beyond me. These two will never fight.

 

Some thought BJ would step up, because he had just released a press statement that he would fight an "elite" fighter in his home country this summer and you wouldn't believe who it was. And it probably wouldn't be on US tv.
Now there's only one elite fighter in the division, and Golovkin is fighting in his home country this summer, so they just put 2 and 2 together, not taking into account BJ's bullshirting.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Golovkin fights in kazhakstan in the summer as a showpiece to coincide with Expo 2017 being held is Astana. Wouldn't be surprised if got government backing or from some rich oligarch to stage a fight then.

It could actually be, Saunders has finally got himself into a corner by being unreasonable to deal with. Both Canelo and GGG wanted him, so he asked for ridiculous money from both.

Now Canelo is fighting Chavez Jr instead, GGG perhaps after that, and GGG is fighting Jacobs, while BJS will likely have to face Khurtsidze in a mandatory defense seeing that Canelo has gone down a different path.

This is a dangerous fight for Saunders with little $$$ reward, sure a peak BJS ought to win, but if he doesn't improve significantly over his last performance he will lose his title.

 

If GGG, could beat Jacobs,Saunders,Canelo this year, he could actually legitimately retire on that.

He'd be the lineal, undisputed MW champion having completely cleaned out the division, had his big money fight with Canelo and have beaten Hopkins record for most consecutive defences at MW.

 

So....

Who would go to Kaz, for no TV money, no exposure, and gate revenue tallied in cartons of eggs, pints of goats milk, pounds of curds, baskets of berries, etc?

I guess its gonna be GGG v Maxim Bursak, since he's the only rated MW that is under contractual obligation to K2.

 

I doubt the Expo center would pass a Sec 8 inspection.

 

BJS said that Golovkin beats both himself and Eubank Jr. on the same night. Yea, the fight isn't happening.

 

Don't be ridiculous. Kazakhstan, just like all former Soviet countries is action packed with wealthy individuals that are free with their vast wealth (hiring pop stars for their kids birthdays, bringing C level holywood starlets as their cake girls etc). If BJS actually gets the offer to fight in Astana, his compensation would be an order of magnitude higher than his purse in UK.
