ggg showing his true colors with this fight. Playing the boxing politics game that others are accused of, but tolerated when ggg does it. And some of the excuses are pathetic in this thread, complete hypocrites.
He would have broke ground in that new market (the U.K.) had he fought CEJ, and he wouldnt have had to fight a welterweight to do it. Hes the Middleweight Champ. If hes going to fight someone in the U.K., to break ground in a new market, then he should have fought the British Middleweight Champ as opposed to the Welterweight Champ. I also find it funny that Golovkin is now making it a point to fight U.K. fighters after Canelo has signed to fight his second U.K. fighter in a row. Its like GG is trying to do be more like Canelo. Canelo fights a U.K. fighter in Khan, knocks him out, then signs to fight a U.K. champ in Beefy, and what does GG do? All of a sudden we hear about how Golovkin is about to fight Eubank, then the next day we hear he's fighting a U.K. Welterweight instead? This is like Anything you can do I can do better. Well the difference is that GG is supposedly this real MW champion, who supposedly prides himself on fighting guys his own size. Then he fights Kell Brook whos has to give away 13 LBS. This is just too funny !!
