i saw a good idea on here said a few times, for close rounds, score it 10-9.5 to the person you feel may have edged it, and a 10-9 for a clear round. Sure, it's still not infallible, but i think it should be at least trialled.

Even rounds would clear up a lot of sus decisions.
Especially for the challenger (he has to clearly win the round) to take the title from the champion.
10-9.5 round could be a good idea as well (IMO).

The judges score cards in these rounds are almost all for Canelo. They did not give Golovkin a close round. Hmmmm...

which is why Golovkin F-ed up by fighting off the back foot. Everyone & Canelo's Mum knew who the desicion would go too... your 36 what are you waiting for?? unleash the Fury!!!
prolly waiting for the 3rd fight? That way he will be $40milly richer when he finally throws caution into the wind.

Well I have 5 and 8 as swing rounds and tbf I was leaning towards Canelo for the 8th by a tiny margin. I was fully expecting the GB judges to give every swing round to Canelo. On my card it's enough for Canelo to lose 7-5.

I had 5 (close), 7 for GGG and 6 (close),8,9 (close) for Canelo

On my card I had it 7-5 GGG (6 of the rounds I had as very close)

    Rnd 5 = Nelo
10/9 body work, ring genarlship, clean harder shots.
Ggg did close the rnd with a decent combo & of course the jack hammer jab, nelo still gets the nod.

    Rnd 6 = Even 10/10
GGG looks to have outworked canelo for the 1st 2 min for sure wit nelo coming back in the last 1min with body work & power shots upstairs
Ate a lot of shots by coming for golovkin but walked right threw them stalking GGG... Weird seeing GGG retreating fighting off the back foot but he seems to be figuring it out.

    Rnd 7 = Nelo 10/9
beautiful body work hard shots upstairs Nelo clearly came for brawl Mexican style give & take classic
GGG wants no parts of it. However GGG did close the last 30 seconds with beautiful boxing great rally.

    Rnd 8 = GGG 10/9
Easy triple G Rnd as he won the last half of the round after canelo gassed, however he took a beating in the 1st half.

    Rnd 9 = 10/10 Even
Great fight so hard to judge
I was going to give it to canelo on the body work combos & hard overhand rights but GGG came back with a sicc rally in last 45sec. & did some real damage.

Can’t be upset at judges it was truly anybody’s fight. The rounds that went to nelo is based on the fact that he backed up the boogie man in GGG.

And here's the truth. In these five rounds, ( 15 scored rounds in total ) 12 of these scores went to Canleo, only 3 went to GGG.

In other words 4 of the 5 rounds from round 5 to 9 went to Canelo, and only one to GGG.

GGG threw and landed more in rounds 5, 8, and 9.

Landed more because of the jab
Not the harder shots & Zero body work.
& jabbing off the back foot,
Imagine Mike Tyson or Julio Cesar Chavez Jabbing & fighting off of the back foot?? Because that is what we are talking about here... aka ring generalship.

Question, are you saying Canelo clearly lost the first fight because he was on his back foot or the ropes often?

GGG's jab is a power punch. Ring Generalship is misunderstood, and it hard to define in terms of scoring. Both fighters fought exactly the way they wanted to. For example GGG chose not to go to the body to avoid being countered. So he was being smart, which is Ring Generalship.

When robberies happen, you see judges giving all the close rounds to one fighter, and then if the score cards need it, they steal a round at the end of the fight. If one judge gave GGG the 12th, we have a draw.

Why does Drugnelo's daughter have Asian eyes?

    Did Naoya Inoue tap that?
