Honestly Canelo would be slower and gas faster.

GGG won 2nd half imo although lost first 6.

GGG would have been even less drained and more powerful.

Think fight was 116-112 or maybe 115-113 for Canelo

@ 175 I think it would have been reversed.

    Thoughts?

Same result. GGG's problem was age.

He's got some kind of hand/wrist problem, I think that was draining him more than anything else. At 175 it would have been the same story, do enough to get a win and try not to take extra damage.

I also think the weight was in GGG's head, hence the slow start. He would have been even more concerned at 175 so it cuts both ways.

Come on guys. GGG is 40. He could fight Clenelo at 200 pounds and the fight would look the same. GGG is done on the highest level. He's still very good and would probably beat 97% of the guys at 160 & 168 but that's it. Clenelo is way too strong, fast and explosive for him at this point.

We'll see the same if Clenelo fights at 40 and faces a young guy with some good attributes.

    Father time is undefeated.

Canelo weighs more than GGG in the ring. He wouldnt be heavier in the ring at 175lbs than he was at 168lbs, he would have just had to drain less to make weight the day before, so if anything he wouldnt have gassed as quick and/as much

My boy Golo looked chubby at 168. At 175 he would look like Margaret Cho, but less Asian.

    Clenelo by KO.

Better to just let it go, man. The whole Canelo-Golovkin rivalry is best consigned to the ashcan of boxing history. Neither guy came out of it with much glory.

No the result would be the same. The problem was two fold: 1) GGG is feckin ancient in boxing terms and 2) He had the wrong gameplan. Either or both GGG and 'Sleepy' Banks would not acknowledge that Golovkin has lost a lot of speed and that he would never be able to outbox Canelo throwing slo-mo punches. He needed to take risks and press the action. Sure, the chances increase that Clenboy might catch him good but it also would increase the chances of gassing Canelo out properly and having a chance to ko him late in turn. Instead both fighters opted for a paid sparring session. So much for Canelo's boasts that he was going to end GGG's career. I've seen more violence at a cucumber sandwich teaparty.

My two cents what about the same fight but at 160 I think will be more competitive like the previous two.
