I think GGG would have probably beaten Canelo in 2016. I just dont think he was ready to fully campaign at the full limit of 160 pounds. 2017 and 2018 were close close fights which i scored a Draw in the first fight and 115-113 Canelo in the second. Anytime after that i think Canelo is just too good and too much for GGG. Id like to see the 3rd fight, just to see it happen, but i dont think it will end well for GGG at all.
Already for 2017 and 2018 I saw Golovkin victorious in both fights. Not necessarily with a big lead, but a real winner. Logically I think he would have beaten Canelo in 2016 quite clearly. Canelo being eight years younger however I think he would have dominated in 2019 and 2020.
