GGG Vs Canelo CHIN

GGG. Canelo is the better defensive boxer so his chin isnt as tested.

 

Canelo's chin is better. GGG was tagging him up all night in both fights. Really beat up Canelo. It's a testament to Canelo that he withstood that onslaught even though he should have been credited losses for both fights.

Same thing happened in the Mayweather fight where his potshots were tagging Canelo all night long. Mayweather won all 12 rounds and got many clean shots on Canelo's head.

 

Golovkin.

Canelo eats clean power punch extremely rare. His defense is very good. But his chin got tested a lot of times. He only got stunned by Jose Miguel Cotto in 2010.

Golovkin never got stunned in his career and his defense is not that great.

 

Golovkin turned his head and absorbed damage of the punch. Otherwise, he could be stunned.

 

Canelo smaller he has the better chin he's also fought the better comp

The biggest reaction I've seen from GGG to a punch is a slight pause, then bite down on the gum shield, put on a very mean face, then come forward.

Canelo was very briefly stunned by GGG.

Very difficult to tell who is better and depends on who you have as the power puncher of the 2.

Also, lot of people saying GGG not as good defensively, he's excellent at judging range and he rarely gets caught flush moving onto a punch. Not as flashy as Canelo, but very effective

 

GGG having the chin reputation is reason why the Canelo fights were so close. .He took more clean hits than Canelo did.

 

Golovkin was hurt bad in one of his earlier fights, cant remember who, and canelita was also near getting stopped by jose cotto early in his career but golovkin has taken more bombs by far like it was nothing.

 

There’s literally no way to tell as of now. Both guys have stood up to everything thrown at them
