honestly nothing stood out to me about either fight.
I must be in the minority here because 24 rounds was enough for me, I have no interest in sitting through another 12.
I dont remember anything about either guy testing each others chin. seemed to me neither guy wanted to commit and leave himself open.

I think Pretty Boy Floyd has hurt guys far worse with one or two well timed punches in a round than either of these guys did.

both fights were let downs to me. they were being marketed as knock down, fight to the death type fights. anyone who falls for it a third time is a sucker

    o_O Dafuq?

They were both excellent, classic fights. They both left it in the ring and both demonstrated 10/10 chins.

I suggest another sport for you:

look man, I can see how if you're a casual and you grew up watching DAZN, you would think these were great fights. I honestly dont even blame you for your naivety.

you gotta understand something though I'm from a different generation. I grew up on Gerald McCllelan, Julian Jackson, Iran Barkley.....those kind of fighters.

I highly recommend that if you're off for the holidays you spend some good hours pulling their fights up on youtube and educating yourself. you'll have a much greater understanding and appreciation for the sport.

    good day to you sir

Gerald McLellan the massive weight bully flamingo murderer? Sorry there was nothing exciting about that dude swinging for the fences against far smaller opponents.. He was huge and had a massive unfair size advantage... That's not boxing imo

Barkley wasn`t in the same league as these two and Jackson couldn`t take a shot at 160 the way these to could or can.

Poor? He boxed GGG's socks off. He was more efficient in the first match. In the 2nd match he threw caution to the wind and just fought GGG toe to toe. In the first match he was smarter, more selective with his offense and it was more of a chess match. In the rematch he just came right at GGG and unloaded power punch barrages inflicting more damage on GGG. He frustrated GGG more in the first match with his footwork. It was more impressive in terms of the sweet science.

It was like the reverse of SRL Duran. Canelo fought GGG in the rematch like SRL fought Duran in the first match. In the first match Canelo fought like SRL fought Duran in the rematch when he made Duran say No Mas. GGG was frustrated by Canelo's superior footwork and elusiveness much like Duran was in the SRL rematch. Only GGG didn't quit, but he did complain afterwards about Canelo not fighting Mexican Style. Canelo gave GGG what he asked for in the rematch and GGG backed away and ran away from the kind of fight he asked for.

    Wow, Golovkin is hittable.

Maybe if he wanted to win the decision, he should have learned to move his head instead of blocking Canelo's punches with his face.
