Comparable resumes, slight lean towards Canelo since his best win (Trout) is better than Mackelin. Canelo also has a green Vasquez on his resume (but GGG has Ouma, which is comparable IMO).

Close resumes, this isn't like comparing GGG to Bradley.

Man i dont know to be honest.

obivously Canelo has fought Mayweather but he didnt win that fight. Fought Trout whos better then anybody GGG has fought. Fought a few former world champions. I mean I would have to go with Canelo but its not by alot

True. But Bradley has a better resume than most active fighters.

I think I give a very slight edge to Canelo. wins over Trout, green Vasquez, and even a loss to Floyd goes a long way as far as experience.

But I do think that around this time next year, this question will be easier to answer. One of them will pull away.

Asutin Trout alone trumps any of the fighters on GGG's resume.

Interestingly enough both of these fighters have stat padded there records for quite some time. At least Canelo has taken a huge step up in competition the past couple years, whereas GGG keeps fighting tomato cans/mid tier fighters.

but the way ggg beat macklin was more much more conclusive. austin both outlanded and outthrew canelo by twice as many punches in five of the twelve rounds. the same trout who was then schooled by lara.

and you cant compare miguel vasquez to kassim.

vasquez is a career lightweight while ouma was competitive against undefeated mw champ taylor who had just beat lineal champ hopkins

canelo has four more fights at 154 before he is regulated to contender/gatekeeper status.

if alvarez was anything special he would be fighting the winner of lara/angulo as opposed to the loser.
