In a video game probably, My son has that one. What would he do?, wink him to death with one eye, Carlos would close the other one with his hard left jab.
I don't see McClellan beating GGG.His whole Career is based on his 2 wins over Julian Jackson towards the end of his career. Earlier in G-mans career he lost to two mediocre fighters. G-man was kind of a weight bully at 160lbs. I think GGG weather's the early onslaught and wins by late KO in a dog fight . Unlike Benn GGG has an iron chin.
Only very mentally weak people allow what fans say to dictate what they think of a boxer. If you cannot separate the two, that's 100% on you.
I root against fighters I otherwise wouldn't because of their fanbase. Yes, that is 100% on me. That is what I said.
That's the life of being a sports fan. I think it's silly, but I won't say I don't understand. Root against and becoming an irrational hater are two different things IMO.
Just thought I'd chime in. I'm biased because I'm a Golovkin fan, and recognize him as one of the greatest pressure fighters of all time. I've got a prime Golovkin (Ouma, Proksa, Rosado, Ishida, Macklin etc) to break Carlos down and stop him late, he just passes the 'eye test' for me and hits too hard.
I'm a huge GGG fan with a proven record of Golovkin nuthuggery. Just ask Classic. I don't think he'd be outclassed by any middleweight in history in a H2H sense. That said, I'd not favour him against Monzon who was truly a special talent. Just as Golovkin has his own outstanding traits, Monzon was an expert at controlling the pace and range of a fight. Golovkin is too - but I'm not sure that his jab beats Monzon's nor that he will be able to dictate the range either. He might. But there's no certainty in it for me. I think the fight would be competitive, whoever won.
