After seeing Degales speed last night I think he gives Golovkin all kinds of problems. Bute is a hard hitter as well and Degale was able to avoid and absorb the worst Bute threw at him.

Degale can potshot GGG all night. Degale wouldn't try to take GGG out the way he was trying to take Bute out.

    Degale by UD

saw a fight in the amatuers between ggg and bute

bute was way faster and peppered ggg nearly at will ggg struggling with the speed/height and length of bute, but then 1 single shot and bute was on ***** street fight over.

    ggg is a dangerous fighter

    Honestly, I'd pick DeGale.

Really? I actually saw nothing that would suggest Degale could beat GGG. His stamina is suspect and he went to the ropes for breaks every other round midfight, and that's where Bute had good success. Now, if Degale went there to take breaks, imagine a high IQ guy forcing you there at the same time... And that's the last place he'd want to be.

I came away last night less impressed with Degale. I want to see the fight though. Hopefully it happens in the future. It'd be a good fight at 168.

Degale would stay away from GGG and would fight a different fight. But you are correct in that GGG can stop him with body work. Then the question is how well does GGG power carry up at 168?

Yeah, I echo the same the thoughts. GGG would tear his body up. Let's keep in mind his stamina and his 100 punches/rd output....

I was expecting a prime, fresh Degale to put up a great performance against an aged Bute, and it didn't happen.

Did you see how often Degale had to take breaks on the ropes? Credit to Bute for decently cutting off the ring too. How well does Degale do when he CANT stay away from GGG?

GGG - 'Bute is the best fighter i've ever faced professional or amateur'

Bute was schooling GGG in their fight before he landed the hail mary. DeGale outboxed Bute easy and would do the same to triple hype

DeGale has a bad habit of hanging around in the corner. GGG hits WAY harder than Bute, who was scoring very well in clinches and corners, although was certainly outboxed otherwise.

GGG will hurt DeGale, and end it later on in the fight.

man i like both. and i think if degale can stay sharp for 12 he can get the decision, but he lingers and rest sometimes which just wouldnt wash against ggg.
