I just voted froch ud but was surprised to that was the most popular, would of been one hel of a fight like

 

Froch was one of my five favorite active fighters at the time and he could be outboxed. Golovkin wins a close decision.

 

GGG would be at the end of the cobra's jab all night long. "Ganeddy had the flu"

 

That’s quite an ignorant comment, JM.

Macklin, Stevens, Geale, Murray and Lemieux were all world class fighters and ranked as top 5 or 10 middleweights. They were not elite pound for pound contenders obviously, but they were certainly not “cans”.

The way some people just scoff at top contenders in the world never ceases to amaze.

 

You don’t think GGG’s jab would be just as proficient? I think it takes more than one punch to beat either man.

 

I'm not agreeing, disagreeing, or critiquing your post, I just saw you mention Curtis Stevens name and thought back to his days in the amateurs. Back in those days a lot of guys in New York and others who followed AM boxing were predicting he was the second coming of Mike Tyson -- only he was a middleweight. He came out of the AM's with just as much hype as Danny Jacobs, and as crazy as this sounds, he actually probably had more hype and higher expectations placed on him by others. Crazy how things work out. But he had substance as an amateur, he may have been the greatest KO artist I've personally seen in the amateurs.

 

GGG would be severally outsized. Imo it could be Bute esque.

 

Obviously I agree GGG is outsized. Froch has a few inches in height and reach in this one. Maybe he would keep GGG at the end of his punches and bust him up. It’s possible but hard to imagine as a Bute type beating.

I’ll just take Froch at his own words though: “Just swerve Golovkin like the plague. He punches like a mule. I don’t need to be in with him. Dangerous fight.”

 

GGG will outbox Froch and there is high probability for GGG winning by knockout. GGG is stylistically nightmare for Froch

 

Golovkin would have tidied him up. There's a reason Froch never took the fight and its not because of his new nose.

 

I don't know any more, Golovkin couldn't stop Canelo so stopping Froch seems unlikely. Absolute war though.

Not at all. Froch has a very basic jab. Golovkins entire thing is parrying Jabs just like Frochs and countering with his own jab. Golovkin make easy work of Frochs jab.

 

but that is because it happened at elite level, as has it happened to 3G. Your argument doesnt have substance.
