i was talking to carl last week and he told me that golovkin's team are insisting that the fight take place at a catchweight 4lb below super middle.......which carl could never get down to

 

168lbs and in Nottingham.

Its weird. Carl's never been one to go quiet. Ever. I dont for one second think he's scared of GGG. Wary yeah but not scared

It's not a decision you'd want to rush into

 

....well according to carl himself if ggg and his team are going to continue to request him to drop to 164 then the fight can't happen as he physically couldn't get that low (his words , not mine)

 

I'm wondering, would a GGG fight or a DeGale fight be bigger in the UK? Financially and hype-wise.

 

Lol thought team GGG was willing to go 168 for Froch and JCC?

So you take the word of some internet keyboard guy that he asked for 164? ill tell you one thing about Froch , he LOVES media , and if K2 were suddenly asking for 164 , Hearn and Froch will be ALL OVER IT calling him a catchweight fighter and what not , please dont believe everything you read on the internet , mainly if it comes from random ppl.:nono

 

i was at milton keynes collectormania last saturday. carl was there doing signings and photos along side anthony joshua , kevin mitchell , ricky burns , frank bruno , darren barker , lee selby and kell brook .

carl stated this to me categorically as i was chatting to him about his next move...fight on or retire.

 

Yeah well IF that is true then I don't believe Carl Froch.
Before you try to jump down my ass, understand that I would get on a plane to watch Froch fight before I walked across the street to see Ward.
I'm a Froch fan but I don't believe that they would ask Froch for a catchweight.
Abel Sanchez has said in multiple interviews that he doesn't like catchweights. Loeffler said they would fight Froch in the UK and at 168.
