:thumbsup I wouldn't have thought he'd fight Golovkin, because if he loses he isn't going to look like much of a threat at light heavyweight, is he? Furthermore, Grovesyburger has a rematch with Froch in the works. Nevertheless, if you say you saw him at the Golovkin fight then perhaps they are planning something. It would be a good fight. Golovkin has so much power at 160 that he'd still pack a punch at 168. We're probably going to see Golovkin vs Lee instead, which I think is poor matchmaking from Lee's people, but what do I know.
I'd favour Groves. Bigger, faster, has good power himself. Groves superior defence and movement would also be a deciding factor. Golovkin of course would be very dangerous though, his power and body attack are very impressive and the way Groves was dragged into the fight with Froch and the way he folded late may mean he will struggle late in the fight if he can't put GGG away early.
GGG is better off staying at Middleweight till he officially makes a move up and Groves is set to rematch Froch.
It would be a good fight for sure, but for me Groves is not quite worthy yet of the acclaim heaped on him for the Froch performance. Let's see how the Froch rematch goes, but for me the guy who barely scraped past DeGale ain't gonna beat GGG. If Groves is able to convincingly beat Froch then I may rethink, but all I'll say for now is that it's definitely one I'd like to see.
They wouldnt let GGG anywhere near GG. Its the ultimate example of the risk not being worth the reward. I would love to see it though.
