You don't know **** about boxing **** boy and probably just started watching boxing when GGG came on the scene. Hopkins is a ATG and one of the best fighters of this era. The very fact you voted for GGG a guy who has beat no one of note or even fought anyone of note tells me that you can't be taken seriously for real boxing debate. Hopkins would be favored in this fight and rightfully so dummy he would take GGG apart and give him a boxing lesson. Hopkins struggles with athletic guys not straight up an down guys like GGG who are easy to hit.:deal

I don't think Hopkins schools Golovkin by a wide margin, but neither does GG stop the Alien/Executioner, shame thaat this is one of those very interesting stylistic matchups we'll never get to see

Look at all those Golovkunts hurting the integrity of a good poll... Hopkins was very crafty at 160. He knew how to win, and most importantly he knew how to beat come foward pressure fighters. It wouldnt be easy, and maybe he wouldnt be favored to win, but i would have no doubt that bhop would would beat GGG...

Hopkins might be able to beat GGG right now (not at 160, of course).

Prime Hopkins does to Golovkin something similar to what he did to Tito.

Hopkins by late KO or wide UD.

Real boxing debate, as in subjective, dogmatic drivel  Golovkin is a technical mastermind, and has superior punching power, I do not see how Hopkins aside his size advantage would be able to do anything of note. Golovkin is athletic, rarely loses on the scorecards, and gets hit ONLY when he decides to unload on the other guy. Also power is an aspect of athleticism, bet you didn't know that right? I guess you cannot tell the amazing footwork, the subtle head movement, and the unique controlling of distance that Golovkin performs every time he fights? You are blinded by your racial bias :-(

Carl Froch is also an ATG, but if Kovalev (who is not an ATG yet) fights Froch, Froch mandible will be cracked and he will go down. Your status means very little when it comes to head to head ****ysis.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves now GGG has good footwork but it's not in Hopkin's class who has some of the best footwork in the history of the sport.:deal Hopkins deals with guys like GGG easily we've never seen GGG in with a guy with Hopkins' skills defense and ring IQ. Hopkins may not hit as hard as GGG but he hits hard enough especially at 160 to more than get your respect. One would have to gather based on this Hopkins would likely beat GGG he can fight at more ranges than GGG can with ATG defense counter punching and a high ring IQ.

In the end nobody really knows who would win anyways, it is all subjective. The victor is the one that can impose ones will on the other. Hypothetical matchups are meaningless. Comparing Hopkins and Golovkin also requires allot of subjectivity, we cannot tell who is better at what simply by looking, we need to see them both in the ring at their peaks to determine anything.

    WRONG.

Hopkins has beaten bigger punchers and better boxers. And BTW - Bumlovkin's ring IQ isn't all that high...
