Let's put it this way. Jacobs might win 2 rounds at the most against Toney. Toney fought all the way to HW! It's more likely GGG gets KOd.
Nay_Sayer is the worse. Dino is close. Both have been at this for years, in Nay-Sayer's case about a god damn decade, so it's hard to believe they are just trolls. Andrew I believe is a troll, we'll see.
You think? Toney wasn't really the type to box near shut outs. Nunn was ahead at the stoppage I believe. Johnson put him down in a close fight. The first McCallum fight was a close fight. Kind of irrelevant in a MW fight. By that logic, Toney should have blew out all the MWs he fought, but in reality he had close fights and lost to Tiberi.
A motivated in shape Toney wins this wide. Punchers with little movement like Golovkin are what Tony excels at, I think people would be surprised at how easily Toney will be able to land the counter.
Toberi owned that ass imagine what GGG would of done. It would of been a first rate destruction, damn boy.
its not a question if ggg beats him....but how bad ggg would sit back jab Toneys face off before unleashing the left hook that would finish him. mexican style
It wasn't GGG's best performance against Jacobs by any stretch of the imagination, but I agree with you: Toney and RJJ should definitely be favoured over GGG. It's the casuals who have never heard of Toney who tend to argue otherwise.
Toney had some iffy performances at MW whereas GGG has been nothing but devastating. At MW, Golovkin all day.
I've certainly heard of Toney, I followed most of his televised career in the 90s. And I believe he's being overrated at MW. He wasn't the dominant force people are building him up to be on here. People talking about shut outs and the implication he handled pressure well at middle....I don't see that.
He was befuddled by Tiberi's pressure in a clear loss. And got spooked by Johnson's power in a close fight I scored against him. The first McCallum fight was also pretty close.
