Toney was a 90s fighter when Victor Conte was beefing up fighters like Evan Feilds and making guys like Canseco and McGwire, Sosa and Bonds, alongs with Griffey Jr etc etc etc hitting homeruns like they were having batting practice with aluminum bats.

In todays era, Toney would be tested, suspended, then go natural without juice and wind up like an uglier version of Darnell Boone except with a worse record.

At least RJJ had real athleticism and speed, something Toney ALWAYS lacked.

He'd slipped and slide his head right into GGGs hooker-cuts and OH L's, R's and eat his jab all night if he dared to leave his shell and come forward.

He weren't out of shape blood, he weighed in just fine at middle after Tiberi as stated by another poster too. 1 1/2 lbs under the 160 limit I think he said. You not listening to him or something? Start listening more please !

Who you are trying to fool? Toney was pumping air like crazy, could barely keep up on his feet, punches were weak, did not look good physically. But according to you it was all ok, right! This is a guy who threw close to a 1000 punches against Mc callum and displayed awesome stamina in the Nunn. But I guess you are the expert

I am outta here, not wasting anymore time with a bunch of incompetent imbeciles.

Don't argue with nostalgia fans. :xqw

    You'll never win.

I grew up watching 8mm tapes of Louis, Schmelling, Marciano, SRR etc etc etc and watched Ali live on free TV, watched NO MAS, all the while, my pops, dad, uncles and cousins would argue as to who beats who. :argue::argue::argue:

Personally, I was stuck on Larry Holmes and SRL, but my pops, he watched Marciano in the movie theaters, and it was his opinion that Holmes, Ali, Norton, Foreman etc etc etc wouldnt last a handful of rds vs the Rock. :risas3::risas3::risas3:

Pops passed in 81, and my dad and uncles all thought it was Cooney who rule the roost.

He came and went, and then came Tyson.

While Spinks was twice gifted wins over Holmes, Tyson wasn't a runner, and being a nostalgia fan, I KNEW.....FUKKING KNEW, that Holmes, even at his age, and with all them rds, was gonna school Tyson, and then came reality.

Hagler gets robbed by Leonard........ Holyfield, Bowe, Moorer, Foreman, and Chavez take over the premium game as Tyson sits in an Indiana penitentiary.

The middle and lower weight classes were something of a sidenote until RJJ began his dominance.

These days, people are saying that Calzaghe would school Ward and Kovalev etc etc etc.

    On and on it goes.

Toney was a tough SOB undoubtedly, but like BHOP, he fought in a weak era, and ppl criticize GGG, who is only now, nearing typical retirement age, getting the legacy fights, ie Rubio, Geale, Murray, Lemieux, Brook, Jacobs, and now Alvarez.
He was ducked by WBC Champions Chavez Jr and Martinez, he also waited 28 months as mandatory to Sturm, and finally the WBA, having created the interim/regular title, gave him a title fight, and even after that, fighters like Sturm, Geale, and Barker, and Quillin found ways to avoid him.
41 y/o Sam Soliman was going to fight him, but not after winning that title, and then crazy @ss Taylor got it.

It's been a 6 yr duck-fest in the MW division, while guys were lining up to fight Toney, BHop, Winky, Oscar, etc.

GGG is a once in a lifetime fighter.

Sad that his prime yrs, 28-33, were spent being avoided like he was Ebola.

Tiberi was all over Toney like a soup sandwich from the get-go and he was absolutely relentless and gave him very little breathing space or respite from his non stop pressure.

Just keep ignoring the circumstances of the case. Your tactics are totally unimpressive.I am sticking with my prediction, Toney TKO and that very confidently.

Circumstances = excuses. Real men don't make excuses. Take it on the chin an move on, you'll feel better for it. Toney didn't have the discipline to make middle, a weight he could've made for longer in his career if he was professional enough.

Excuses , my asss. You can not even make an obvious distinction between the weight drained Toney of Tiberi and an inshape Toney against Nunn or Mc Callum.

Mc Callum or Nunn are HOFs. Tiberi was a journeyman. GGG never fought anybody close in class to Nunn or Mc Callum.

Top that, Toney fought countless pressure fighters in his career. In fact, Toney was best at beating fighters with this style as he is one of the best insight fighters of all time.

Weight drained Toney lost to Thadzi. Inshape Toney won against Jirov. According to your biased and absurd reasoning, Toney would have been knocked out by Jirov. Or do you want to argue Thadzi is better than Jirov? LOL

    So according to you:

Glenn Wolfe, Dave Tiberi, Mike McCallum, Reggie Johnson, Merqui Sosa, Sanderline Williams, Danny Thomas, Ron Admunsen, Lemark Davis, Arthur Willis etc

... are all better than Golovkin?

    :risas3:

    Keep walking buddy.
