I don't think Toney or Golovkin would have beaten each other "with ease". I think GGG wins, but Toney would be problematic and I think the win would be on points. I just like Golovkin's relentless consistency over Toney's more erratic flashes of brilliance.

It's actually a type of glass so brittle that we've yet to find anywhere else.

GG's win over Brook won't be more respected than Marvin's win over Duran.

Duran was one of the greatest fighters of all time. He's a better fighter than Brook, and he went up to win a MW title after he'd lost to Marvin.

Ottke will never be classed as an ATG. Because boxing historians don't rank fighters purely on stats. It's okay acknowledging dominance, but you have to look at who they had dominance over.

If Wilder knocked out Ortiz and retired, he too wouldn't be classed as an elite/ATG HW. He wouldn't have done enough in regards to his resume, and he wouldn't be rated that highly on a H2H basis either, seeing as though he's looked poor against lower level fighters.

Brook would beat Duran at 154lbs or higher. What Hagler did is nothing special.

I'm just watching "The gifted one" vs Duran right now. "The special one" beats 154lb Duran without an issue.

although to be fair Duran was at his best at the lighter weights.

I highly favour Duran at 147lbs. He had speed in that weight class.

Duran is one of my favourite favourites. His win over Moore was a little masterpiece in brutality. I agree that the Duran that Hagler beat < lighter Duran, but that was still an excellent win. Brook is a really good fighter but I wouldn't take his name on my resume over Duran's, no way.

That's fine. Brook still has 3-4 years to unify 154lbs, his best natural weight. The comparisons to Duran and co can be made. I think Brook handles 154lbs and dominates.

Let's see what he can do first, I agree. 12 fights won against the right opponents can do wonders for a resume.

I think he beats Spence at 154lbs. Withstanding eye injury again. What he did was amazing, jumped up 2 divisions to face the best p4p guy in the world and dropped two divisions to face the so called new star of boxing and give both of them hell for a short while, in GGG's case and was beating Spence on the cards before his eye decided to become a factor. He already outgrew 147lbs in my opinion, and was nowhere a 160lb, 154lbs he's going to be a freaking machine.
